Delilah took a steadying breath as she stepped out of the ladies' room, smoothing the fabric of her dress and pushing back a lock of hair that had escaped her neat chignon.
As she approached their table, she noticed Hunter leaning back in his chair, his expression unreadable as he watched her return.
For a moment, she hesitated, not sure how to face him after kissing him that way publicly. She also knew he would most likely want to ask questions concerning her relationship with Conner.
