Kapitel 70: Blake Calls You?

From the moment Delilah arrived at the office, she pushed thoughts of Hunter and his kiss to the back of her mind and forced herself to stay focused, diving into her work with renewed determination.

She had a lot to accomplish, and she couldn't afford to let her thoughts distract her. But every now and then, she found herself wondering how she was going to make it through the next couple of months with him if she was already feeling this way within two weeks.

She was engrossed in reviewing some property listings when her phone buzzed, interrupting her flow. Glancing at the screen, she saw her father's number and her heart skipped a beat.

What did he want? She mused as her finger hovered over the decline button. A part of her wanted to ignore it, to avoid the inevitable tension that came with his calls. But just as the call was about to cut off, she answered.

"Hello," she said, trying to keep her voice neutral.
