Kapitel 26: Nothing At All

Delilah lingered in the shower longer than usual, letting the hot water wash away the stress of the day. As the steam filled the bathroom, she tried to push away her thoughts about the annoying Blake, the mysterious Hunter, and the complication of meeting Mrs. Quinn.

When she was done, she wrapped herself in a plush, white towel, taking a moment to savor the warmth before stepping out.

She dressed in her favorite loungewear which she wore when she had guests: a soft, oversized navy-blue sweater that fell just below her hips and a pair of comfortable gray leggings.

The simple outfit was perfect for a quiet evening at home with a male in the house. She ran a brush through her damp hair, letting it fall in loose waves around her shoulders.

And when she was done she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She reached for a lip gloss, but dropped it, not wanting to do anything that would impress Blake or give him any ideas.
