[New Translation!! [Warhammer: Starting as a Planetary Governor]
After leaving the city and arriving in the wilderness, Gin and Sakumo found themselves surrounded by the samurai from the Land of Iron. They had no way to escape.
"Did you think we would just let you leave like that?" Ichirō stood amidst the crowd, his eyes filled with malice as the samurai closed in on the pair.
Clearly, they weren't going to challenge Gin one-on-one anymore—they were coming at him all together.
"You insulted the Land of Iron. You must die here!" a voice shouted from the crowd.
"Kill them!"
"Kill them!"
"Kill them!"
The crowd chanted in unison, their voices loud enough to make Gin plug his ears.
These Iron Country samurai didn't seem to be all that skilled, but they sure knew how to be loud.
"Wrap it up quickly. I'll be waiting ahead," Sakumo said calmly to Gin before vanishing in a puff of smoke.
"Left quickly, didn't you?" Gin muttered, rolling his eyes. It wasn't surprising—Sakumo was just ditching all the work for him.
Putting aside the facts, was Sakumo wrong for doing so?
"Of course, they're shinobi!"
Seeing Sakumo disappear, the samurai didn't need to guess anymore.
"Killing you won't save him either!" Ichirō snarled as he took another blade from one of the samurai, his previous sword shattered by Gin.
Gin crouched down and pressed his hands against the ground.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" (Summoning Technique)
Several strange objects appeared before Gin.
"Stop him!" Ichirō roared, not knowing what Gin was planning but sensing danger.
The samurai charged forward, but they were too far away to reach him in time.
Gin leisurely pulled out a small bell and hammer.
Just as a samurai got close enough, sword swinging toward Gin with his face contorted in rage, Gin calmly struck the bell with the hammer.
Ding-ling-ling!
Waves of sound rippled outward like water, and those who heard it froze in their tracks, unable to move.
Except for the stronger swordsmen, like Ichirō and the grand swordmasters.
"It's genjutsu! Cover your ears!" Ichirō yelled in a panic.
Gin frowned as he examined the bell in his hand.
The Phantom Sound Bell was meant to trap anyone who heard it in a genjutsu.
Unfortunately, it was only effective on those with low chakra levels.
"A shame. Its power is still limited."
Now, only seven or eight samurai remained unaffected. Even Ichirō kept his distance, clearly wary of Gin's swordsmanship.
"What are you afraid of?! Attack him!" Ichirō shouted, his voice filled with anger.
The remaining samurai hesitated but eventually charged toward Gin, their faces pale.
"Kill him!!"
Gin, unhurried, took out his Shuriken Gun and fired off several rounds.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The samurai rolled and dodged. One of them, who was just a bit too slow, had his arm grazed, leaving a gash.
"It's still not as good as my own technique," Gin sighed, disappointed.
The Shuriken Gun could only shoot shuriken in a straight line, unlike the Uchiha clan's traditional technique, which allowed for precise control of their trajectory.
Its only advantage was speed and slightly increased power.
"These bastards!!"
Ichirō barely dodged the shuriken. He could tell that the remaining samurai were scared and unwilling to advance.
Gin then pulled out a small black dagger.
As chakra flowed into the blade, it glowed with a dark aura.
He tossed the dagger toward Ichirō.
"Go."
The dagger flew across the distance in an instant, but Ichirō's blade was faster, shattering the dagger with one strike.
Gin frowned.
"Still too weak. The quality is poor, and it doesn't even enlarge."
It was a failed prototype.
"Are you a sorcerer?!"
Ichirō's expression shifted as Gin's unusual tactics made him rethink everything. This wasn't typical ninja behavior.
Ninjas were known for using elements like fire or lightning, not strange tools like these.
"Ignorant fool," Gin muttered as he examined the two remaining experimental tools.
One was a small shield, the size of a palm, and the other was a tiny wooden figure.
"These two aren't suitable for testing here."
The shield was meant for defense, and the wooden figure was for tracking and locating targets.
However, Gin wasn't impressed with his prototypes.
The Phantom Sound Bell was only effective against low-level chakra users.
The Shuriken Gun lacked the ability to control its projectiles.
The flying dagger broke too easily before it could even be tested.
"Let's call it a day," Gin decided. These samurai were hardly a challenge.
The shield could be tested in his own time, and the wooden figure would have to wait for another opportunity.
"Kill him!!" Ichirō roared, charging toward Gin with a group of samurai in tow.
"Have you ever heard of the 'Prince's Tactic?'" Gin raised his hands.
A black energy orb began to form in his palms.
"Yin Release! Spirit Orb: Prince's Tactic!"
Gin's hands moved rapidly as he launched a barrage of black orbs at the incoming samurai.
In just moments, they were all struck.
The samurai looked around in confusion. None of them had fallen from the attack, and they exchanged bewildered glances.
Some had expected to die.
Just as one of them prepared to charge Gin again, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed.
One by one, the samurai dropped to the ground, even Ichirō included.
Thanks to the Yamanaka clan's generous support.
"Soul Rejection."
The Yin-based energy orbs had expelled their souls from their bodies, altering their nature and preventing their spirits from returning.
The samurai now lay in a state of brain death.
Gin gathered up his ninja tools, even retrieving the broken black dagger.
Though they weren't very effective, they were still his first creations, making them valuable for sentimental reasons.
Walking in the opposite direction of the Land of Iron's main city, Gin soon spotted Sakumo lounging on a tree branch, waiting for him.
"Those strange things of yours look pretty useful," Sakumo remarked, though he had watched Gin's entire process from the start.
It didn't seem like Gin followed the traditional methods of creating ninja tools. He didn't even take notes.
It was as if he instinctively knew they would work.
"They're not that good," Gin sighed. These shinobi didn't appreciate what they had. If the ancient methods of creating ninja tools had been passed down, he could have crafted something capable of defeating even Madara.
But now, he had to invent everything from scratch.
It was a real struggle.
"Where to next?" Gin asked.
"Land of Lightning," Sakumo replied, squeezing a report in his hand.
Iwagakure had begun a large-scale invasion, with many forces sneaking into the Land of Fire.
With Kirigakure joining the war and Iwagakure now restless, only Kumogakure remained inactive.
