The massive Rasengan continued to grind and rotate against the blue flames on the beast's back, forcing the Two-Tails to let out a howl of pain.
Izuna descended from mid-air as the Two-Tails lay motionless on the ground, its tongue hanging from its mouth.
If it were the size of a normal animal, one might expect someone to cradle it in their arms, offering comfort.
However, Izuna's steps were far from steady as he landed.
There was no other explanation—the chakra consumed by the massive Rasengan was staggering.
Even Uzumaki Naruto, who had perfected Sage Mode, could only manage to use the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken twice before exhausting his chakra.
And Izuna's Sage Mode wasn't fully developed. His chakra reserves, as a Uchiha, were inherently lower than those of a Senju or an Uzumaki.
Looking up again, Izuna saw the Two-Tails, who had just fallen, rise back up in less than ten seconds. The wound on its back was healing rapidly, the blue flames mending the damage visibly.
"As expected, its abilities are similar to Marco's," Izuna muttered to himself, recalling the regenerative powers of the Two-Tails.
He also remembered that, in the future, even Hidan—someone far from Kage-level—was able to capture the Two-Tails because of his immortality.
Izuna had no intention of using his Mangekyō Sharingan in this battle. Sage chakra could only alleviate new injuries but could not heal old ones. Therefore, the Mangekyō had to be used sparingly.
The Two-Tails lashed out with a paw once more, but Izuna immediately teleported away using the Flying Thunder God technique, reappearing a hundred meters away.
Seeing that the Two-Tails had already recovered fifty percent of its injuries, Izuna thought to himself, Looks like I'll need to use a stronger technique… Tsk, even though I'm not great at it, I'll have to use that move.
Forming the "Yin" seal, Izuna's cheeks puffed slightly before he called out, "Fire Release: Multiple Fire Dragon Flame Bullets!"

Izuna disappeared instantly. In a flash, it seemed like there were dozens of Izunas flickering around the Two-Tails.

"Roar!!!"
Every time the Two-Tails tried to attack, Izuna used the Flying Thunder God to teleport to another spot.
Frustrated, the Two-Tails' blue flames surged and exploded outward, sweeping the entire area.
Everything in the flames' path was reduced to ashes in an instant.
"You used fire, which helped me a lot. Normally, it takes time to prepare for this technique with only Fire Release."
Izuna's voice echoed from behind the Two-Tails.
The beast turned to see Izuna standing on a large rock. His black clothes were singed, with burns visible on his left arm and ankle from his earlier fire-style attack.
"Haven't you noticed yet?" Izuna prompted.
As his words fell, a deep rumbling thunder boomed from the dark clouds above.
The Two-Tails looked up, seeing lightning flickering ominously within the storm clouds.
Soon, heavy rain began to pour down, but it didn't extinguish the special blue flames left behind by the Two-Tails on the battlefield.
Crackle! Crackle!
Izuna's left hand crackled with silvery-white lightning. The earlier Fire Dragon Flame Bullets, combined with the Two-Tails' fire-style chakra, had set the stage for a powerful lightning attack.
Seeing Izuna raise his lightning-filled hand, the Two-Tails felt a deep sense of foreboding and charged toward him, hoping to finish the battle before it was too late.
"Fall with the thunder, Two-Tails."
The electricity in Izuna's hand surged like a fuse, reaching up into the dark clouds above. A thunderous beast made of lightning roared down from the sky.
Kirin!
Miles away, Mito, who had been waiting for Izuna, suddenly saw a brilliant flash of silver light coming from the direction where Izuna had gone.
Moments later, a deafening explosion and tremor nearly knocked her off her feet.
What's happening? Mito's heart raced. Without wasting another second, she rushed toward the battlefield.
The ground where the Two-Tails had stood was scorched black, shattered by the sheer force of the lightning. The massive rock Izuna had stood on was reduced to rubble.
As the dark clouds dispersed and sunlight filtered through, Izuna, exhausted from using most of his chakra, walked toward the fallen Two-Tails.
The beast hadn't lost consciousness, but even with its remarkable healing abilities, it wouldn't be able to fight again for some time.
"Uchiha Izuna," he said, addressing the Two-Tails. "That's the name of the one who wants to sign a summoning contract with you."
Izuna pulled out a summoning scroll, large enough to bind a tailed beast. "To form a summoning contract with a new beast requires the blood of both the summoner and the summoned beast. You're the first, Two-Tails. If you don't want to experience the effects of my Mangekyō, I suggest you cooperate."
Without waiting for a response, Izuna drew a new Flying Thunder God kunai and slashed at the Two-Tails' paw pads, creating a summoning array.
He reopened the scroll, cut his finger, and wrote "Uchiha Izuna" on the blank section of the scroll.
Placing the scroll at the center of the summoning array, Izuna knelt and channeled chakra into it.
As the contract took effect, Izuna's chakra flowed into the Two-Tails.
Feeling Izuna's chakra, the Two-Tails' pupils shrank, locking onto him with an intense gaze. "Uchiha… Izuna!"
Unfazed by the Two-Tails' threatening look, Izuna chuckled. "I told you, let's get along. There's no need for my Mangekyō. It's better for both of us."
After sealing the scroll away, a white figure appeared next to Izuna. Seeing the fallen Two-Tails, it exclaimed, "This… is a tailed beast?"
Izuna sat down, smiling. "Your Uzumaki clan's sealing techniques are excellent for containing these creatures. If it acts up after recovering, just show it what you can do."
Uzumaki Mito stood there, momentarily at a loss for words. The sheer amount of chakra within the Two-Tails, detected by her sensory techniques, gave her a rough idea of its power.
And yet, Izuna had defeated it.
Turning to him, Mito's beautiful face quivered slightly with concern. "Are you hurt?"
After all, how could anyone fight such a monster and emerge unscathed?
"You know medical ninjutsu, right? How about healing me? A knee pillow to lie on wouldn't be bad either," Izuna teased, smiling lightly. After such a grueling battle, joking with the Uzumaki princess made him feel a little better.
