He had not expected the truth about him not registering their marriage ever since they got married in public eyes to get revealed at such a crucial moment.

It was one of his great plans for laying a solid foundation for his future self. His plan was getting married to Aera without registering their marriage and then getting all her inheritance from her through alimony and numerous scandals that will make him be in the grace of the entire public.
