Kapitel 154: End of the empire
In the midst of the raging war, the gray afternoon sky depicted a tense atmosphere. Smoke billowed high and the ruins of buildings symbolized the destruction left by the battle between Supreme Teigu and Esdeath and Raijin. The magnificent palace building, a symbol of the ruling empire, had now collapsed. In various corners of the capital, residents were running to save themselves.
In the corner of the palace, Najenda and Tatsumi ran fast, looking for Honest. They had just seen Supreme Teigu almost defeated by Esdeath and Raijin who were driven by Lelouch.
"Boss! We can't let him escape!" Tatsumi shouted, his breath hitching as his legs stepped faster.
Najenda paused for a moment, her gaze sharp, rethinking her plan. "We have to be careful. Maybe he has another trump card."
They sped through the palace halls that were now filled with dust and debris. Behind them, a commotion was heard, the sound of metal clanging and the screams of soldiers. Destruction was everywhere, and the aura of death surrounded them.
"Ahead!" Najenda shouted as they saw Honest running, trying to escape after seeing defeat was near. Behind him, the Four Raksha Demons stepped calmly, ready to protect their master.
"I will stop him," Najenda said firmly, preparing to take action.
However, suddenly another figure appeared, Aisha, during the war with the imperial army, Euphemia asked her to capture Honest. As Euphemia's guard, Aisha certainly had a stronger power than the other soldiers that she obtained from the Vermilion God. Aisha possessed the power of the Sun's fire that was powerful and could also be used to heal.
"I will not let you get away so easily!" Aisha stepped forward, facing the Four Raksha. Fire jumped in her hands, ready to destroy anything that stood in her way.
Aisha stepped forward confidently, the light that sparkled from the Sun's fire radiating warmth and anger.
The Four Rakshasa Demons were the Prime Minister's personal executioners and were powerful enough to take on Teigu users despite not possessing Teigu due to gaining superhuman abilities through consuming a type of dangerous beast known as the Lake Kraken. In addition to their martial arts skills, they were able to manipulate their bodies in a variety of ways that made them deadly, including extending their nails and hair to stab enemies, twisting and bending their bodies to avoid attacks, and stretching their limbs to fight enemies from a distance.
"Clear the way!" Ibara shouted, his voice echoing through the ruined hallway.
In an instant, they charged Aisha, each unleashing their own deadly attacks. Aisha moved swiftly, the young woman deflecting the attacks with graceful play, while hurling fireballs at her opponent.
"Sun Flame!" she shouted, the fireball soaring high and hitting Sten, sending him crashing to the ground with a scream of pain.
"Perhaps we underestimated this girl," Suzuka whispered, seeing her fallen comrade. "She's no ordinary opponent."
Ibara and Mez nodded in agreement and became more cautious in facing Aisha.
When the fight reached a stalemate, Akame and Leone came to help. Although they did not know Aisha, but looking at her clothes, they knew that she was one of Noah's soldiers, so they immediately helped face Suzuka and Ibara, while Aisha fought Mez.
Aisha continued to fight Mez, who tried to dodge the fireballs that were launched agilely. Each of Aisha's attacks was matched by Mez's fast movements, who used her body manipulation ability to dodge and find opportunities to counterattack.
Meanwhile, Akame and Leone faced Ibara and Suzuka. Akame held Murasame in her hand, ready to attack. She only needed to make a small wound on her opponent to kill them. Leone, on the other hand, felt the power flowing through her thanks to Lionel's Teigu. She growled, ready to pounce on her opponents.
"Don't let them get close!" Ibara shouted, trying to strategize. Suzuka nodded, and the two prepared to attack simultaneously. However, Akame and Leone had already moved. Akame launched a swift attack, each strike bringing death upon contact, Akame's attacks were like a dance of death.
Ibara tried to dodge, but Akame had already predicted her movements. The slash missed, but it was enough to put Ibara in a bind. Ibara knew that she could not be scratched by Murasame, or she would die.
Leone, with the instincts of a wild animal, leapt towards Suzuka.
"You will not be able to escape me!" she shouted, unleashing the full power of her Teigu.
Suzuka tried to manipulate her body to dodge, but Leone was already too close. With one swift movement, Leone attacked, and Suzuka was forced to jump back, avoiding the attack that almost hit her body.
On the other side, Aisha continued to fight Mez. She frowned as she saw Mez continue to dodge, Aisha immediately created a wall of fire around them and made Mez's evasion space narrower.
"You won't be able to dodge forever!" Aisha shouted.
The fight continued to rage with increasing intensity. Aisha, with a towering wall of fire, managed to corner Mez. The fire blazed, creating a tense atmosphere. Mez felt the heat stinging her skin, and she knew that her time to dodge was running out.
"This wall of fire will burn away everything you have!" Aisha shouted, mobilizing her magical energy to strengthen the flames surrounding Mez.
Mez frowned, trying to find an opening to escape. She used her ability to manipulate her body, but with the wall of fire getting closer, she had to think fast. She took a deep breath, gathering her focus and trying to anticipate Aisha's next move.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the arena, Akame and Leone continued their attacks. Ibara, who was cornered by Akame's deadly attacks, tried to find a way to fight back.
"We have to attack at the same time," he said, trying to strategize with Suzuka.
"Okay! I'll distract her!" Suzuka replied, trying to gather energy to launch a counterattack.
However, Akame had already moved first. With amazing speed, she launched a series of attacks towards Ibara. Each of Akame's movements was agile and deadly, making Ibara even more cornered.
Ibara tried to dodge, but Akame had already predicted his move. In one move, Ibara fell to the ground, and Akame stood over her, Murasame's sword ready to strike. Ibara immediately got up and desperately avoided Akame's attack.
"No!" Suzuka shouted, seeing her friend cornered. She tried to help Ibara, but Leone had already approached.
Leone, with a beast-like instinct, leapt towards Suzuka and struck Suzuka with full force.
Suzuka, feeling threatened, tried to manipulate her body to dodge, but Leone was already too close. In one swift movement, Leone attacked, and Suzuka was forced to jump back, avoiding the attack that almost hit her body.
"Don't run!" Leone shouted, darting towards Suzuka at an astonishing speed. Leone knew that every attack she launched was an opportunity to destroy her opponent.
Meanwhile, Aisha was getting closer to Mez while launching larger fireballs. The wall of fire that surrounded them left Mez with little room to move.
Mez, who was cornered, tried to manipulate her body to escape, but Aisha's attack was too fast. She was forced to divert her attention and dodge, but the wall of fire was getting closer. In an instant, the fireball hit one of the walls, which made it shake violently.
"Arg..."
The wall of fire closed in and Mez, unable to dodge, could only watch as het body was burned by the flames.
On the other side, Ibara and Suzuka looked at each other. They both knew that they had to work together to defeat Akame and Leone.
"We have to attack at the same time!" Ibara said, trying to strategize again.
"Alright! I'll distract Akame while you attack!" Suzuka replied, trying to gather her strength.
However, Akame didn't give them a chance. With incredible speed, she launched a swift diagonal attack towards Ibara.
Ibara tried to dodge by jumping back, but Akame had already predicted his movement, changing the path of her attack into a straight stab and managed to give a small cut on Ibara's arm. Ibara fell to the ground, feeling the pain that spread as the poison of the Murasame curse spread through her body. In just a few moments, Ibara's body lay lifeless on the ground.
Meanwhile, Leone faced Suzuka.
"You can't escape me!" Leone growled, unleashing the full power of her Teigu.
Seeing her two comrades die, Suzuka felt increasingly uneasy as Akame and Aisha approached. Suzuka attacked Leone with increasing ferocity and desperation, but Leone's strength was stronger than hers, Suzuka's body was currently covered in bruises and wounds like animal scratches in various places.
In one step, Leone jumped towards Suzuka and swung her hand with full force. Suzuka was forced to retreat, but Leone was faster. In an instant, Leone managed to reach Suzuka and delivered a devastating attack that made Suzuka fall.
With that, Aisha, Leone, and Akame stood over their fallen opponents, signaling the end of a fierce battle. Around them flames blazed, creating an atmosphere of victory for them, while Mez, Ibara, and Suzuka lay lifeless on the ground.

Tatsumi and Najenda who continued to chase Honest felt the vibrations of battle behind them, but there was no time to look away. Their pursuit must continue.
Tatsumi and Najenda ran quickly, their breathing steady despite the rising tension.
"He can't get away!" Najenda shouted, her voice firm. With her mechanical right hand, she stretched her arm to attack, aiming an attack at Honest who was running in front. Her mechanical hand could stretch far, and she used her ability to create enough distance between them and the enemy.
Tatsumi nodded in agreement, his eyes not leaving Honest's figure as he was getting farther away. "We have to work together. If we can distract him, I can attack from the side!"
The two of them quickened their pace, coming up with a strategy in a matter of seconds. Najenda took her stance, preparing to unleash a long-range attack, while Tatsumi gripped his sword tightly, ready to charge forward.
Honest, who realized that he was being chased, quickened his pace. Even though he was trained in martial arts, he knew that fighting two people at once was a challenge that could not be underestimated. However, his spirit did not dampen, he continued to walk quickly, trying to get away from their pursuit.
In an instant, Najenda released her mechanical arm, which shot towards Honest. However, with quick reflexes, Honest jumped to the side, dodging the attack.
"You won't catch me!" he shouted, his voice filled with determination.
Tatsumi did not remain silent. He swung his sword with precision, approaching Honest from the opposite direction. In one move, he tried to block Honest's escape path. However, Honest rolled his body, trying to avoid the attack.
"He's fast!" Tatsumi muttered.
Najenda did not give up. She repositioned herself, preparing to attack again. "Tatsumi, trap him! I'll distract him!"
Enthusiastically, Tatsumi nodded and dashed forward, blocking Honest's path with his agile movements. He jumped and spun, trying to close the gap. Meanwhile, Najenda took the opportunity to prepare her more powerful attack.
Honest, who was cornered, began to feel desperate. He knew that if he didn't take action soon, he would be caught. In that moment of tension, he unleashed his final move, attacking Tatsumi with a powerful counterattack, hoping to regain control.
However, before the attack could land, Najenda unleashed a long-range attack from her mechanical hand. The attack struck the ground near Honest, cracking the ground and creating a blinding dust. In the chaos, Tatsumi seized the opportunity.
With one powerful leap, Tatsumi shot forward and caught Honest's wrist, gripping it tightly. "You won't be able to escape anymore!" he shouted, looking at Honest with determination.
Honest struggled to break free, but Tatsumi's strength and Najenda's firm grip rendered him powerless.
"You may have me, but this isn't the end!" Honest shouted, but there was no escape. He was finally caught, waiting to be judged by the entire society that had oppressed him for so long.

Bang.....bang....ding....ding....slash..
The sounds of gunfire and clashing swords continued to echo across the chaotic battlefield.
Noah stood behind Euphemia, watching every move and calculating strategy. He watched Euphemia fight bravely, and his heart trembled.
"You did great, Euphemia," he whispered, though his voice was barely audible amidst the sounds of battle.
The war was fierce, but the Vermilion Kingdom's military strength was far superior. They fought with an unwavering fighting spirit, and little by little, they began to gain control of the battlefield.
As the battle heated up, Euphemia spotted a group of imperial soldiers who seemed to be preparing to attack from the flank. Without hesitation, she ran towards them, sword in hand, and challenged them with a fierce courage.
"For the Kingdom of Vermilion!" she shouted, and with a single movement, she cut down one of the enemy soldiers. Her courage was infectious, and her troops followed her lead.
Noah watched from afar, proud of Euphemia's courage and determination.
After several hours of fighting, as the sun began to set, Euphemia and her troops had broken through the enemy's defenses. They stood atop the destroyed enemy fortress, with the remaining imperial soldiers retreating.
"This is the beginning of the resurrection!" Euphemia exclaimed in a voice filled with passion. "We will bring peace to this world!"
Noah stepped forward, his eyes fixed on Euphemia with admiration. "You did it, Euphemia."
Euphemia felt her heart flutter, not only with victory, but also with the feelings growing within her for Noah. "Thank you, Noah."
Noah smiled, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to disappear. It was just the two of them, in the soft light of dusk, feeling the strong bond between them.
