Rosa had no other option but to stop resisting and remain silent feeling the blade's cruel promise against her skin. The mercenaries behind and in front of her pulled their cloaks around them so that their desert-colored garb blended seamlessly with the sand. She didn't have a visual on the rest of the caravan, but she knew that they too must've become one with the terrain, and with their breathing hushed and their movements non-existing, surely, they had camouflaged their presence so effectively that to any passerby they would appear as nothing more than an unremarkable part of the landscape.

She swallowed back angry tears when the man behind her pressed his lower parts against her back and rubbed as if to make sure she felt exactly how hard he had become, perverts! She shouted in her head, But I will live through this. I swear I will. And when the time is right, I will strike back with the full force of my fury.
