Kapitel 68: The Aftermath of a Sandstorm - Part 2

Rosa staggered to her feet ready to defend herself against the intruder. But as soon as she caught a glimpse of his face, she let out the breath she was holding and allowed the coughing to overtake her. The dagger slipped from her grasp, but it was caught by a stealthy, blood-stained hand before it could clatter to the floor.

"I've got you." 

She collapsed into Silver's embrace feeling her strength ebbing away. He looked as battered as she felt with fresh cuts on his arm from breaking the window.

"You'll be alright," he murmured, wiping the sweat from her forehead with his stubbled cheek as he gently laid her back on the bed. "Thank God I brought it with me." He left one arm around her shoulders and began reaching into his pocket with his other hand just as the door was violently kicked open.

Kael burst through the door, pausing before his entire body shook with anger. "Get your filthy paws off her..."
