Kapitel 213: Understudy and Drifter

In the early morning light, before the sun had crested over the hills, while mist still shrouded the surface of the lake and the air itself seemed to be holding its breath, the multicolored energy swirling around Wu Ling began to fold back upon him like a lotus blossom folding it's petals back into a bud.

Not far from where he sat, Zhang Buyan smiled as it seemed his friend's breakthrough had finally come to a successful conclusion.

"Junior Sister Jin," he said, drawing the younger woman's attention away from the brightening sky to the east. "It looks like Brother Wu is finally about to wake up. Go get Brother Fang and Sister Su."

At first, Su Xiang had insisted on standing guard over Wu Ling's breakthrough to prevent anything from disturbing or interrupting the process. As one day turned into two, and two into three, however, it became apparent that even with the greatest of resolution and love for her brother, she would need to take some time to rest.
