Kapitel 7: Inner Soul
"AHHHHHHHH" I woke up screaming and flailing around, still feeling some phantom pain from the Injuries Inflicted on me. "Deep breaths I gotta relax or I'll end up going Into shock, happy thoughts Tomio. Happy thoughts". I meditate on my thoughts trying to Improve my state before getting alerted by the alarm I had set. 'That dream was strange, It was so life-like. Another reminder that being weak Is a sin and more motivation to get stronger, I gotta start getting ready'.
Getting up I make my way towards the bathroom taking care of my morning routine and refreshing with a nice long shower. After doing so, I whip up a decent and light breakfast before packing essentials such as clothes and toiletries. I look on my desk and window sill, seeing a bunch of pictures from my childhood bringing back a wave of nostalgia and a hint of anger and helplessness.
Angry that they died from an accident and helpless due to not being able to do anything to save them having to watching them die Instead. I put the pictures down collecting my thoughts before packing them as well before making my way towards other Items such as recreational devices and posters of women 'This is totally normal, I'm a young and growing healthy boy'.
Realising I had packed early, I went back to meditating as a way to start training how to control my thoughts and emotions, a start to mastering my Cursed Energy. Breathing In a controlled matter, I begin to muster up my Cursed Energy with a burst of negative emotions overtaking me I start some basic movements such as stretches and exercises, trying to Improve my concentration.
With my concentration at an all-time high, I began my training session forgetting the time and that I had to leave soon. Grunts of effort resound through the now desolate room and my eyes filled with determination I continue to train, feeling my control increase not minding It being small increments. 'Well It's better to start somewhere rather than never starting at all If I keep this up I'll eventually get better, there's no need to rush and risk Injury'.
*Ring Ring*. "Huh?" I pause In my training, hearing my phone ringing I walk up to my drawer and answer. "Moshi, Moshi. This Is Takahashi Tomio speaking. Who's calling?" I ask wondering who It is, "Ah yes, Takahashi-kun this Is Kiyotaka Ijichi speaking. I've been sent on behalf of Gojo Satoru to come to pick you up and deliver you to Jujutsu High". Revealing who he was I panicked as I'd been so absorbed In my training that I had forgotten about It, as a result, my fingers fumbled around the phone nearly dropping It, and responded deftly. "Ah! Yes sorry I'll be outside now thank you for picking me up".
I grab my bags and run out of the house, taking a short look back reminiscing In memories of my time spent here before saying a final goodbye and heading off for a new unexpected future. Walking down the apartment complex stairs I come across a black SUV parked next to the sidewalk with people gazing at It.
Feeling a hint of anxiety building up, I speed up making my way to the vehicle seeing a weary middle-aged man come out of the driver's seat. "Hello Takahashi-kun, I'm Kiyotaka Ijichi but you can just call me Ijichi. Come on In I'll handle the luggage. You have..visitors Inside waiting for you.."
"Hmm?" I wonder what he's talking about. With Ijichi-san taking care of my bags I walk to the back door, entering and seeing both Itadori and Gojo wondering why I ask "Ah! Itadori, Mr.Gojo what're you both doing here?"
"Takahashi hey! What do you mean what am I doing here I'm going to Jujutsu High. Are you coming too?". "Now now children, let's calm down I'll settle all the questions you're burning to ask on the way there hehe". Thinking back to last night's dream my body shivers from the pain and feeling of death, Gojo's keen perception picks up the sudden change In my movements asking with slight worry.
"Hmm, seems like this brat has been up to something unpleasant huh Itadori" I turn my neck looking at his smug face, and respond In mock anger, "Yeah yeah whatever. I doubt you'd be able to go through what I did.."
"It was weird you know? Going to sleep only to wake up the next minute In some scorching desert, falling Into some weird hole, and getting Impaled by my evil twin. So apologies for my misadventures 'Sensei'." Hearing my story Itadori shoots me a look of worry and seemed like he was going to ask but was beaten by Gojo.
"Oh"
"Oh? That's all you have to say after describing the most terrifying and strangest thing to have happened to me so far. Curses and people with powers sure I can handle that, but that was a whole level of weirder". Gojo just starts laughing, hand over stomach and hunched over. 'This motherfu-'
"I'm starting to think that the world Is going to be much more enjoyable with you all. That dream you spoke of wasn't technically a dream, It was your Inner soul. Something many sorcerers find difficult to enter after all, one must come to terms with who they are and accept themselves no matter their personality or Ideals. It's also the hardest step to overcome If you want to create your domain. So I couldn't help but laugh when you said that, an ungraded brat managed to do something many Grade 1's can't and is even complaining about It. It's hilarious."
"It's just Inevitable that you lost after all your soul represents what you could possibly accomplish at your current level so In other words, no matter how strong you are your soul will represent your peak no matter the level you are at, so for you who only knows how to use not even the basic applications of Cursed Energy your soul will be able to use higher manipulation and just that. This Is all to stipulate whether or not you are deemed worthy by your Inner self".
I stare at Gojo, mouth agape with shock and face wide with surprise that I had achieved something so difficult despite not even being part of their supernatural world yet. It was then that Itadori decided to speak up It was also at this point that Ijichi-san finished packing my belongings and revved the car starting our journey towards Jujutsu High. "So sensei does that mean Takahashi can just enter his soul anytime?"
"Hmm, technically he could but since he lost It'll be slightly harder to enter than before but since you already understand yourself well It shouldn't pose much of an issue."
"I see, man I thought I understood myself well. Guess I don't or at least not as much as I thought I did." Itadori thought aloud along with a sigh. "Well don't worry Itadori you'll definitely be able to do It one day too!" showing my belief In him.
"Oh right Sensei, how was Megumi able to summon those beasts can we do that too?" I stare at Gojo wondering the same waiting for his response " Nope sorry only he can do that. You see some sorcerers especially from special lineages can Inherit something called a Cursed Technique or some could just be born with a random one. His Technique Is called Ten Shadows, a famous one for how strong It is and hasn't been Inherited for over hundreds of years and allows the user to subjugate the shikigami he has defeated In one-on-one and use them In combat. It's a very powerful technique even on par with mine."
Me and Itadori wonder over Gojo's explanation realising there's more to being a sorcerer than meets the eyes. Cursed Techniques, powerful abilities that allow sorcerers to have a smoother path to being stronger. I look back at Gojo wanting to ask more, what Is his technique, how Is It as strong as Megumi's, and If Itadori and I have said Cursed Techniques? However, just as I go to ask Ijichi Interrupts, announcing our arrival at Jujutsu High.
