As I settled into my new job, I found a sense of purpose and fulfillment. I was determined to provide a better life for Liam, and my hard work paid off. I received promotions, recognition, and a sense of belonging in my new community.

Liam, too, began to thrive. He made new friends, excelled in school, and grew into a bright and curious young boy. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as I watched him grow.

But despite the distance and time, my thoughts often wandered to Damian. I wondered where he was, what he was doing, and if he ever thought of us. I hoped he had found peace and redemption, and that he was doing well.

One day, as I was walking home from work, I stumbled upon a news article about the Blackwood family. They had relocated to a different country, and Damian was nowhere to be found. I felt a pang of sadness, knowing that I might never see him again.
