"Honestly, I couldn't care less, choose whoever you like. It makes no difference to me..." Nick said, shrugging and pretending not to care.

Everyone knew what he really meant: anyone but him.

The room fell silent. The group faced a tough decision.

Everyone agreed that Kyoji had worked the hardest during the challenge. He deserved the "A" ranking. But Nick and James had a point.

Just like they said, would it even matter if Kyoji got the "A"?

Anyone with an "A" ranking was guaranteed a spot in Class A. But Kyoji's talent level was so low...wouldn't it be a waste?

His lack of natural ability meant he might not benefit from the advantages of Class A. The rewards would be wasted on him. Would they really give him the "A" and let it go to waste when someone else with more potential could use it?

Wasn't that the whole point of Chancellor Thorns's warning? He told them to choose carefully because it would affect their progress in the future.
