The sun soared high in the sky, reaching past even noon. The trio had slept quite late, so they woke up in the middle of the day.

Right now, all three of them stood outside the house of the Mayor of Mycelia; Malon's dad. They were in the front courtyard with serious expressions on their faces.

The estate itself was grand. It was a mushroom mansion that extended to all sides of the courtyard except for the south side, where the exit and entrance to the property were.

Standing outside of the estate gates were what looked to be hundreds if not thousands of people.

The commotion was loud, filled with confused gasps, curious murmurs, and interested whispers.

"What are they doing?"

"Malon wants to get his city back... for us."

"Isn't the election in a few months? Why is he trying to do an illegal coup?"

"Don't be foolish. You know exactly why if you have eyes."
