The support of the Ancient Gods!
Although Metis and Prometheus did not know the exact reasons or specifics behind this support, they were aware of some internal factors, even if they didn't fully understand them.
However!
This was the support of the Ancient Gods! The backing of Erebus and Nyx, the ancient god couple, brought forth significant implications. Undoubtedly, this was not something to be taken lightly, as it inherently came with a multitude of issues. This was no trivial matter.
If these numerous issues were not handled properly, don't expect the Ancient Gods to remain uninvolved. Having chosen to invest in Hades, would they truly turn a blind eye at a critical juncture, or not intervene at all?
That was absolutely impossible. Because of this, any dealings with Hades had to account for the potential involvement of the Ancient Gods. This was an absolute certainty. Mishandling this could lead to serious consequences.
If problems arose then, it would indeed be laughable. In fact, a single misstep could lead to significant trouble, with the potential for far-reaching consequences. This was no joke, and no one could predict how far-reaching these consequences might be.
As for the integrity of the gods? Believing in such a concept would be a joke in itself. The actions of gods were generally devoid of integrity and bottom lines. Believing otherwise would be utterly foolish.
Metis and Prometheus pondered in silence. Observing the tense atmosphere, Zeus realized he had to speak up.
"Hades."
"Poseidon."
Zeus spoke calmly. Hades simply looked at Zeus quietly, while Poseidon maintained an indifferent expression as he regarded his two brothers. Zeus felt a strong urge to curse them out. You two are something else!
Maintaining his composure, Zeus asked, "Shall we initiate the God War?"
"No."
"Not agreed."
Hades and Poseidon both spoke calmly, rejecting the idea, which left Zeus in an awkward position. You two act all high and mighty, but why don't you speak up? What's with this silent treatment?
Nevertheless, Zeus was accustomed to the stubbornness of his two brothers. Staying composed, he smiled and said, "If not now, when do you think would be appropriate to start the war?"
"The preparations are insufficient." Poseidon responded coldly. "Neither our strength nor our preparations are adequate."
Poseidon was right. While the three gods had reclaimed their essence, this was merely the first step. Even with their essence restored, there were still many issues to resolve. For instance, have they truly reached the level of God-Kings? This was a major issue. Additionally, numerous other matters needed consideration and resolution.
If these were not properly addressed, rushing into a war with the Titans would be a death sentence!
Besides that, there was no other conceivable outcome. If such haste were to occur, it would be utterly meaningless and unnecessary. This was a fact that had to be acknowledged.
Poseidon saw this clearly. Zeus, hearing Poseidon's words, turned his gaze to Hades. Although Hades did not speak, he clearly shared the same sentiment.
"Fine!"
Zeus nodded and continued, "In that case, our primary task is to reach the level of God-Kings and to gather more gods willing to resist the Titans. We will face the Titans in this manner."
"No problem."
"Agreed."
Hades and Poseidon nodded quietly once again. They had no issues with this plan. They then turned their attention back to Zeus, who felt a headache coming on.
Seriously?
If you have thoughts, just say them! What does this silent staring mean? Are you two crazy? Zeus felt an overwhelming urge to curse at them, but he restrained himself due to the importance of their alliance.
What are you two up to?
At this moment, Metis smiled and spoke up, "The initiation of the God War is indeed premature at this time. However, there is one issue that needs consideration: the matter of divine artifacts. Without proper artifacts to face Chuzhen, everything will be nearly meaningless."
Facing Chuzhen's divine artifacts…
Undeniably!
This was a fact!
For any god, Chuzhen's artifacts were incredibly formidable. If not properly addressed, what would be the consequences?
Divine artifacts needed to be forged, and the three gods had their respective materials. Now, they needed a suitable god to forge these artifacts for them.
"The Cyclopes!"
Prometheus smiled and said, "The Cyclopes are the offspring of the Earth Goddess and the Sky God, essentially the brothers of the twelve Titans. They are considered the strongest blacksmiths and forgers in the mythological world."
Prometheus spoke simply, as if he had already found the ideal candidates. The three gods pondered for a moment and had no objections to this choice.
"Agreed."
"Good."
Hades and Poseidon, still indifferent and emotionless, seemed unconcerned. Zeus, watching his brothers' expressions, felt another wave of frustration.
Seriously?
Could you two show some emotion? Otherwise, people might think something's wrong. Your lack of reaction is really giving me a headache!
At this point, Poseidon spoke coldly, "Prometheus, since you suggested this, I assume you know where to find the Cyclopes and what else is needed."
"I do!" Prometheus smiled. "I have already gathered all the information. Next, it's up to you three to handle this. It's beyond what we lesser gods can achieve."
"..."
Hades and Poseidon merely stared at Prometheus, who felt a bit like Zeus at this moment—like a clown performing a solo act.
