Kapitel 24: Caught in the lie.

(AZTEC'S POV)

On the way to Rhea's house, thoughts of her telling me about the orphanage floated on in my head. It was one of her terms to keep you safe and I had been quick to dismiss her. And to think that the same orphanage had been attacked today.

I knew deep within myself that I had fucked up. I had created a big mess for myself. If I had just agreed to the terms then this would have been a different matter. I would not be looking for Rhea.

"We are here, your majesty."

I sighed tiredly and I could not help the anxious feeling that tugged at my chest. It was an unusual feeling for me. I don't get anxious or scared but these days, anxiety was becoming a familiar feeling and it was all because of Rhea.
