Kapitel 43: Chapter 43 Win Glory For The Country? I Was Expelled From The National Football Team

Su Luo was not an innocent boy, but he didn't expect that shortly after parting from Josephine, he would find himself in such a compromising situation, especially in Josephine's apartment. It all felt a bit magical.

If it were anywhere else, Su Luo might have just slipped away. Taylor might have woken up thinking it was all a dream. But now, in Josephine's apartment, slipping away wasn't an option.

Enduring the pain in his head, Su Luo carefully recalled the events of the previous night. He remembered that he and Matuschka had managed to get into Taylor's celebration reception. The captain had successfully taken photos with Taylor and got her autograph. Su Luo also took a photo with her. At the reception, everything seemed normal; they didn't talk much.

In the second half of the reception, Matuschka left early to be with his family, leaving Su Luo bored. He found Taylor drinking alone in an inconspicuous corner. He approached her for a chat, and eventually, she opened up about her ex-boyfriend's embarrassing behaviors. They drank and talked, and as the night went on, Taylor drank a bit too much.

She suddenly suggested sneaking out of the reception so her agent couldn't find her. Su Luo, a bit tipsy himself, agreed. After helping her disguise, they took a taxi and, by habit, Su Luo gave the address of Josephine's apartment. What happened next was beyond his control.

Despite the circumstances, Su Luo couldn't help but feel a little proud of the unexpected turn of events with Taylor. While he was still lost in thought, the blonde girl suddenly opened her eyes and met his.

"Oh my god! What have I done?" Taylor Swift exclaimed, seeing the dazed young East Asian face in front of her. She touched her forehead, sighing internally. What had she done?

This handsome boy was probably under 18. "My God!"

"Are you awake? Would you like some breakfast?" Su Luo asked, still a bit dazed himself.

"Umm... okay, I'm a little hungry," Taylor replied, not quite sure why she agreed.

This was the second time Su Luo was making breakfast in the kitchen after a hangover. Taylor sat in Josephine's usual spot, drinking coffee and watching Su Luo work. The morning sun streaming through the window gave Su Luo a unique charm.

Josephine had been moved by this scene before, and now it was Taylor's turn. Unlike Josephine, Taylor was used to seeing scumbags, and this different kind of boy made her heart beat faster. For a moment, she forgot about the pain of her ex's cheating.

The breakfast atmosphere was quiet. Su Luo didn't know what to say, and Taylor seemed preoccupied. Before she finished eating, her phone rang. She looked at it, shocked to see over 30 missed calls from her agent.

"Um... my agent is looking for me, so I have to leave," Taylor said awkwardly.

Su Luo understood. He didn't expect to maintain contact with this music superstar and didn't want to be written into one of her songs. Better to forget each other and treat it as a silly dream.

He watched Taylor hastily pack up, put on her makeup, grab her bag, and prepare to leave. As she stepped out, she turned back and kissed Su Luo on the cheek.

Taylor, who stood 180 cm tall, was even slightly taller than Su Luo in her high heels. "Su, thank you for breakfast. It was delicious. Thank you for listening to my complaints last night... see you later if there's a chance!" She then left gracefully.

Su Luo was left a bit stunned. "How come it feels like she's the one who took advantage?"

...

Luckily, the episode with Taylor wasn't caught by the paparazzi, and there was no unfavorable news for either of them. They didn't keep in touch, and it was as if nothing had happened. Su Luo stayed in Berlin for a few days before traveling to other parts of Europe. Finally, he took a plane back to China, traveling through Dubai and Shanghai before returning to Jiang Cheng.

During this time, he talked to Josephine every day, chatting about daily life as if nothing had happened. Occasionally, Taylor's figure would pop into his mind during their calls.

The first match of the second half of the Bundesliga was on February 8th, against Bochum in the 18th round. The team had to return to training three weeks prior, so Su Luo couldn't stay until the Chinese New Year. He spent the New Year's Day holiday at home with his family.

His relatives couldn't believe he was playing for a Bundesliga team. To many, playing football wasn't a serious profession.

"Little Luo, do you want to come back to China to take the university entrance exam and find a good job in the future?" one aunt asked.

"Yes, it's more reliable to take an exam," another chimed in. "Young people still need to study more!"

While his parents were busy in the kitchen, his aunts and uncles gathered around, offering their opinions.

"Little Luo, how much money can you earn playing football abroad?"

"Not much, only twenty to thirty thousand," Su Luo replied modestly.

"20,000 to 30,000 yuan isn't much. The cost of living abroad is high. You should save some money," his aunt advised.

Before Su Luo could respond, his cousin interjected. "Mom, cousin earns in Euros, and it's a weekly salary! That's equivalent to two to three hundred thousand RMB per week! Almost a million per month! He doesn't need to save money!"

Everyone was stunned. Their monthly salary of 7,000 yuan seemed high to them. What was it like for Su Luo to earn millions a month before he was 18?

His aunt awkwardly smiled. "It's good to play football. If you like it, play well, and win glory for the country in the future."

Su Luo didn't know how to respond. Win glory for the country? He had been expelled from the national team and wasn't eligible to join again. How could he win glory?

He decided not to dwell on the national team. His focus was on achieving his goal: competing in the Champions League with the top giants. The Champions League was his World Cup.

To be honest, Su Luo couldn't wait to return to the field!
