In the end, Lily decided not to call Alex back. Instead, she climbed into bed and drifted off to sleep.

Early the following day, Lily was woken up by her aunt, who told her to make breakfast. Rubbing her eyes and yawning, Lily washed up. Despite getting plenty of sleep lately, her drowsiness only seemed to increase.
