"I can already smell how good your blood is!" The Evolution beast rubbed its palm against its chin as it approached the unmoving Rotexa. As he reached her, he stretched out one hand towards her; in an instant, all his fingers merged into a single sharp steel blade that he aimed at her neck.

"The Darkdawn's royal blood is always the sweetest of all," he mused, raising his steel hand high overhead and striking down at Rotexa's neck.

The attack made contact... but it stopped before reaching her neck. How?

The Evolution beast frowned, puzzled, as he sensed a foreign energy emanating from Rotexa at an alarming rate. This energy was the force preventing his attack from landing.

He quickly morphed his confusion into a loud, mocking chortle. "So, you still have a hint of Mana left," he sneered.
