The atmosphere in the room was heavy when Penny returned with her mother.

Sophia stared at her husband, who slightly shook his head making her grit her teeth.

She politely nodded as she sat on her seat.

"Amelia.." she started, "Kane had grown up into a fine gentleman. He is nineteen yet he has achieved so much. I am sure after entering the university, there would be a long line of suitors for him." Amelia's hands paused as she looked at the smiling woman. Her eyes fell on Penny again.

But she knew his son best. If he had set his heart that he did not want to marry Penny. Then he could not be forced. A professional smile appeared on her lips too.
