"Mother!" I called in surprise making a weird face
"What? i am saying the truth, every year is the same for you" She teased me
"Bye, am going back to sleep" I said relaxing on the bed
"How are you going to find love in your room? maybe you should try a dating App" My mum urged me
"Never, What if i meet a serial killer or someone worse?" I asked waving off the thought "How did you even meet dad with your annoying character?" I asked her
"Nothing much, I hosted a party and i fought at the party i hosted with one of the bitch there, your dad was just a gentleman at the party holding the glass of wine i had poured on that bitch that very day so i fell in love with him; that bitch makeup wasn't even original" My mother said with a sign in disbelief
"What? are you serious?" i asked almost laughing
"Yes, you can meet your partner the weirdest way; that's the power of love" My mother said
"This is badass mum, how do you know you love him because you are one of those ladies every guy would want to be with then?" I asked
"Nothing much, your father was just my water whenever i see myself burning, he was warm and comfortable to be with" She responded
"I can't believe this mother, you are the weirdest" I said to her
"Whatever you do Debbie, don't ever let it stress you to the point of loosing yourself" My mother told me
"Bye mother, this is the best thing i have heard from you in the past five years" I said
"Really?" she asked
"Yes, you are always crucifying me anytime you get the tiny chance; byeeeeee" I said disconnecting the video call while laughing.
"Unbelievable" I said laughing myself out.
