Kapitel 26: Chapter 26 - Approval Exam: Part 2

"Zhu Xiangju, you're really confident for accepting this challenge! Haven't you heard that Shen Fei has already reached the Silver Rank? He must be at least a 3-star Silver by now," Ye Ziyun says, looking at him with concern, but also happy that Ning'er has someone who cares so much for her.

"W-what did you say?" Xiangju's face grows serious, stunned, as if he'd just heard something important—which, to him, he had.

"You didn't know?" Wei Nan laughs, though he's clearly worried for his friend.

The event had already started, but no one from their group had taken the test yet.

"No, no, I actually thought he'd already hit Gold Rank, so this is great news!"

Xiangju smiles, remembering how he was sure Shen Fei had been a 1-star Gold when he fought Nie Li in the tournament. He hadn't expected him to have progressed so fast, though; those pills sure are effective.

The pieces start fitting together in Xiangju's mind, making more sense than before. After all, having felt his own power rise when he hit Silver Rank, he knew there was no way he could've escaped from Shen Fei like he did—even for those few seconds—if Shen Fei had really been a Gold Rank.

Everyone is shocked by Xiangju's comment. Du Ze and Ye Ziyun can't help but chuckle, as it's just what they expected him to say anyway. Lu Piao, Wei Nan, and Zhang Ming all think he's a bit nuts, but it only fires them up more. Ning'er blushes deeply, clearly moved by Xiangju's willingness to take on an impossible challenge for her.

The only one not smiling was Nie Li, whose expression had turned dark, his fists clenched tightly.

Ye Ziyun notices, but says nothing; in her mind, Nie Li never did anything without a clear reason—or at least a random excuse to bother her.

They hadn't really paid much attention to anyone taking the test so far; the level had been so low that it was honestly boring. No student had managed to score over 80 on the punch test, and none scored higher than 50 on the large spirit stone.

Then Shen Yue decides to step up for his turn, pushing people out of his way to reach the front.

Students and teachers alike buzz with excitement and anticipation. Shen Yue has the best grades and lineage among them, so naturally, everyone expects him to stand out—and they're not wrong.

Taking a fighting stance, Shen Yue breathes deeply before launching his punch at the force-measuring machine that the instructor had explained with such enthusiasm, though most students either didn't care or didn't understand a word of it.

After a few moments of concentration, he lets loose his punch.

BOOM!

The sound was intense, while the little arrow indicating power rose and rose, stopping at 120. After two more tries, he reached 135.

Everyone was impressed.

"Ohhhh!" "Of course he'd do it!" "He's so cool!"

The crowd murmured with excitement, even more so when he scored over 100 points on the large spirit stone as well.

Hearing all the admiration, Shen Yue glanced at Ye Ziyun with a smug smile and gave her a wink.

She only raised one eyebrow, wondering how he could still be so conceited after all this time without speaking to her.

While the girls found Shen Yue's behavior embarrassing, the guys were visibly irritated, fuming with frustration.

"THAT BRAT!" Wei Nan huffed, looking like he was about to breathe fire.

"I won't let this scrawny punk steal the spotlight!" Lu Piao growled, clenching his fists so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

Nie Li frowned, his eyebrows nearly merging together in a scowl.

Du Ze made a "Tsk" sound, crossing his arms just like Zhu Xiangju, who was staring intently at the Sacred Family's golden boy.

Zhang Ming rolled his eyes in disdain.

The group had drawn a crowd around them by the time the instructor called for the next student.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" they chanted, arguing over who should go first. Somehow, Lu Piao won in a way that defied explanation, but that everyone agreed on.

He strode confidently toward the power-testing machine, while the surrounding students shrugged, barely interested. Their eyes were focused solely on Xiangju and Nie Li, assuming that no one else in the group could produce truly impressive results. What happened next, however, left them stunned.

BAAAAAM!

A seemingly casual punch resounded with an impact, generating a gust of wind and instantly drawing everyone's attention.

425 points showed on the force machine.

The crowd's chatter became deafening; no one could even hear their own thoughts. Teachers and students alike gaped in shock, as if they were witnessing the legendary Ye Mo himself.

Comments of every kind echoed around the space; some claimed the machine must be broken, others vowed never to mess with this group again, and a few even pledged their loyalty to Lu Piao, without him even knowing.

"Y-you still have three more tries!" the instructor stammered.

"Haha, then behold my greatness!" Lu Piao shouted, striking a grandiose pose and landing two more punches…though neither was as impressive as the first. He even messed up the distance on one and scored lower than before, with his max score reaching 435.

The crowd applauded, while Du Ze shook his head in exasperation.

"Tsk, if he'd really focused on training, he wouldn't have such a low score!" the vice commander muttered, grinding his teeth.

"Oh, come on, Du Ze, give him a break—this was more than enough," Zhu Xiangju laughed, glancing at Lu Piao with amusement, aware that their friends had all become stronger, nearly surpassing their original world's power levels by 100 points.

When it came time to test spiritual power, the large crystal cracked in several places, almost splitting apart.

Everyone looked on in shock.

Lu Piao quickly pulled his hand back, tucking it behind him as if to say he wasn't responsible.

His friends watched with satisfaction, even Du Ze relaxing his harsh judgment of the impulsive boy.

"599 POINTS OF SOUL FORCE!" the instructor shouted at the top of his lungs, sparking cheers throughout the stadium.
