As I set my phone down on the nightstand, the memory of Cheol and I sharing intimate moments flooded back into my mind. I fought the impulse to just crawl back into bed, pull the covers over my head, and fall back into slumber again.

Shame and anger raged within me—shame at how easily I had fallen prey to Cheol's games. He made me believe that he had feelings for me, but it's possible that he was only doing so to keep control of the company in his hands, and I'm not going to let that happen.

Picking up the intercom, I requested Lorie to bring me a newspaper before I stepped into the shower. The hot water helped me relieve the pressure in my brain and relax muscles that I had no idea were tensed. Wrapping up in a fluffy towel, I stepped out just as someone knocked on the door.
