Kapitel 10: Bold Step
(Main Protagonist's Pov)
We had started to move around the village again as we enjoyed eating some delicious candies. It was cheap but tasty altogether.
Then after moving for a while, we had noticed a bunch of kids who were playing and a cat-like animal or something.
We moved near to them and soon realised that these kids are actually bullying the little cat-like animal. Then-
"Hey! Stop teasing it harshly!" exclaimed Bianca.
"Huh? Who are you? Well, it doesn't matter. I am really bored of playing with this cat so you can have it." said kid.
"Eh? That's it? He didn't even tried to oppose us or something and he just simply gave up on the cat? Are we that lucky?"
"Only when you defeat those ghosts at Uptaten Tower. Bwahahahahah....Bwahhah- *Cough* *Cough* ...uh.... anyway *Ahem* just defeat those ghosts and you can have this cat." he said.
"Did he just say..."
"Eeek!" I exclaimed in fright.
"Huh? What happened to you?" asked Bianca.
"Ah! Uh...oh....erm....hahaha....haha..... nothing... nothing happened.....haha." I replied.
"You are acting weird today." said Bianca.
"Is that so? Haha...hahaha....hahaha.....I guess.....haha...." I can't help but laugh in fright.
She looked at me with a disgusting face, it can't be helped though since I am too scared. Especially when I had met a real ghost. Well, I think that Bianca would decline or something since handling a ghost out of question.
It is too dangerous. Besides they just put up such a deal because they know on how to bully. Basically, we can't save the cat-like animal. However-
"Anyway, so you re saying you will let us take the cat if we defeat all the ghosts at Uptaten Tower, correct? Okay, it's a deal!" Exclaimed Bianca.
"You got to be KIDDING ME!!"
Just as I was thinking that she would give up or try some other tricks or something to save the little cat-like animal, she just boldly accepted the conditions.
"W-W-W-What are you saying!" I exclaimed in shock.
"What do you mean I am saying? I just plainly told I am going to accept their little challenge to save this poor cat." she said without even slight hint of hesitation.
"She just plainly said that!? You will get us killed!" I thought.
"Okay, it's deal then. Defeat the ghosts and get this little cat away from us." said kid.
We left them as they had started to tease the poor one again. Well, actually it's a saber cat if you look at it and not a normal cat, it's a monster type not animal. However, since it is a baby saber, we usually call them saber cub. We had started to move around the village again and then I asked Bianca.
"H-Hey, are you really sure about this!? Take on the ghosts is just pure hell!" I exclaimed.
"Huh? What are you saying? We should help that little kitty. I don't like those bullies at all. Look at them, still teasing the poor cat. Anyway, don't worry if you are so afraid of ghosts since I will protect you!" exclaimed Bianca.
"I hope I had such strong guys to atleast say those stuffs so proudly. She really is so brave..." I thought as my legs were shaking thanks to Bianca, accepting that deal.
"*Sigh* Fine but I won't go along with you if you accept such type of deals so boldly..." I said, accepted my fate.
"Yay!" exclaimed Bianca in joy.
"Perhaps I should probably just go to church and pray to Goddess for my own safety....I can't believe Bianca is so fearless. It is almost as if she is the queen of ghosts or something." I thought.
"Besides, we don't really know whether they are ghosts or just monsters." She said.
It's not like I am like a heartless monster or something like that who does not want to save the poor cat but even so I can't stand ghosts at all. The lady that I met, perhaps, was beautiful but that is still too scary.
"Okay, let's go back to the Inn for now because it is day time. I bet that the guard stationed at the entrance always fall asleep even though he is supposed to be doing his duty but it will be our chance to leave at night for hunting those ghosts or whatever." said Bianca.
Basically, she knows very well that the guard sleeps at night and that just means she had probably noticed it many times.
After enjoying a little bit walking, we went back to the Inn. When we had arrived and went inside the room-
"Oh, you are back Abel. It seems like the old whitey got a normal cold or something so it is quite a good news that he will be alright. Okay then, since we are done here, let's head back to Whealbrook."
When I heard those words, my heart and world was like that the god listened to my prayers and wanted me to get out of this village before Bianca drag me all the way up to the Uptaten Tower at night.
"Dad is really my hero now! I will not have to deal with ghosts anymore!"
Just as I thought about that then suddenly my world got upside down after few exchanges in conversation between Mrs Whitaker and my dad.
"What? You are leaving so soon already? Please, atleast stay one night here." requested Mrs Whitaker to my dad.
"Hmm, well I think I should stay for a one night then." said dad as he accepted the offer
After hearing those words, my face suddenly went pale and my eyes looked as if I became like a zombie.
"Why did you have to accept her offer dad! I will die for real! Someone help me!" I thought.
"Phew, it's good that you are not leaving today. Isn't it good news, Abel?" asked Bianca.
"How can you say those words as if you are enjoying this." I thought as I was trying to prepare myself for tonight.
