Kapitel 5: My family?

"Let's forget about these small games."

Only then did John look at the leftover game information and carefully screen through, immediately passing over those mini-games. Since small games had no special restrictions and only required knowing simple rules, John didn't need the system's information for those. His entry-level virtual game design ability was enough to create them.

They were OK for future play but not interesting enough to be his first work.

John continued to look down and suddenly exclaimed, "This is still here?"

Following his gaze, it was the "Pokémon" he had seen earlier. But there was only information about the first generation and no information about subsequent works.

"Can I really make this?"

John was skeptical, and the exchange points for this information were exactly 1,000 points.

"Yes, The host can make it."

After a moment of silence, the system's voice continued, as if reminding him: "The laws of the pokémon world are similar to currently existing virtual worlds; the host only needs to create Pokémon."

"wait really?"

John thought about it for a while, and suddenly his eyes lit up as a realization hit him. "That's right!"

"The background of the Pokémon world is just an ordinary world! I can just use the ready-made second-world template?!"

The background of the "Pokémon" world is essentially an ordinary world, with the only difference being the presence of Pokémon.

And since the system confirmed it, John had no doubts and exchanged the information for the first generation of Pokémon without hesitation.

John's point balance on his panel suddenly cleared to zero, and then a ball of light slowly merged into his body. Just like integrating game design capabilities, after the light cluster disappeared, all the information and materials of the first generation of Pokémon were firmly imprinted in John's mind.

At the same time, the information for the second generation of Pokémon quietly appeared in the exchange store, still priced at 1,000 points.

John took a look and figured it out. Many things in the second generation are based on the foundation of the first generation, so he couldn't skip the first generation and directly exchange for subsequent work materials. He had to redeem each generation's data in sequence.

After digesting the information about Pokémon in his mind, John couldn't help but appreciate the benefits of having golden fingers again. The information of some simple Pokémon was not as straightforward as he imagined.

In those data, the racial values of various Pokémon, as well as height and weight, were just the most basic relationships. Balancing them would have taken John ages, not to mention more complicated aspects like attribute restraints, characteristics, and skill moves.

For a game to become popular and stay popular for a long time, balance is crucial. With eighteen types of attributes, hundreds of moves, and different attribute combinations, strengths and weaknesses are inevitable. Still, none of the attributes, characteristics, or skill combinations are overly buggy.

Balancing more than a hundred first-generation Pokémon would have been exhausting without ready-made information. Now, John only needed to be a diligent coder, embedding the existing Pokémon information into the virtual world, using a formula already calculated and proved by countless hours of work.

However, John didn't rush to start his virtual game design plan because it was time for lunch.

With a thought, the scene in front of John changed back to the luxurious room he had traveled to. Just one room was larger than his entire house in his previous life.

Entering the virtual space was just John's thinking, like playing a virtual game only he could access. In reality, John was still sitting in a comfortable chair, and the computer screen in front of him had entered sleep mode.

At this moment, there was a knock on the door.

Knock Knock.

"John, come out to eat."

"Oh, one minute!"

John responded, turned off the computer, and walked out. Opening the door, he saw a plump, beautiful woman standing there. Seeing John come out, she stepped forward with a faint smile and helped him tidy up his messy clothes, saying softly:

"Don't tire yourself out, John. If there's no way, I'll ask your dad to find a way to push this task away."

"Mom, don't worry, I already have a solution."

John was taken aback momentarily, then smiled and helped the beautiful woman beside him, walking downstairs slowly. Her identity was clear; she was John's mother in this world, named Grace.

In his previous life, John had grown up in an orphanage. After merging his memories, he thought he would feel out of place with his parents in this life, but Grace's gentle voice made him let down his guard.

"Is there a way?" Grace turned to look at John hesitantly, a little doubt in her eyes. "Don't fool me. I know you've had a strong sense of pride since you were a child. Otherwise, you wouldn't have taken on such an errand. But this time, it's different; even if you can't do it well, you shouldn't take it lightly."

"Don't worry, Mom, I'm sure. Let's go eat, I'm starving!" John didn't want to say more and gently pushed Grace forward.

...

At a round dining table, besides John and Grace, three other people were already seated. A middle-aged man with an indifferent face and two younger individuals, a boy and a girl.

"Brother, come here quickly, I'm starving!" the girl in her twenties called out softly.

"Alright, I'm here; you're always in such a hurry."

John walked over and sat beside the girl while Grace looked worriedly at the middle-aged man. Before she could speak, the middle-aged man spoke first: "Let's eat first and talk about things afterward."

This was John's first meal in this world.

Fortunately for him, not only were the family's conditions good, but there were no dramatic tensions. The middle-aged man at the table was his father, Michael. The other two were his brother, Adam, and younger sister, Lily.

John took a few extra glances at Adam. Although he looked different from the Adam he knew, he was handsome.

His face was indeed very beautiful, his eyebrows and eyes like swords as if all the decorations in this world that could describe a man's handsomeness were placed on him. John compared his own appearance well... no matter how handsome, he was still his brother, so it didn't matter.

And Lily's appearance didn't need much description either. John's eyes swept over his parents—yes, definitely his own family.
