My mind raced as I searched for a spell that could counter her. Then it hit me—a spell that could manipulate the same time and spatial energies she used. But to create the spell, I would need some time to prepare it. This is bad...

Suddenly, Marina stepped forward, her small face filled with anger. "I won't let you bully Onii-chan!" she shouted, her voice filled with determination while pointing a finger at Mother.

She raised her hands, pointing towards me as she formed a bright, glowing barrier around me.

Mother tried to attack me, but it was too late as her attack didn't hurt me strangely.

"What is this power?" I replied as she was pushed away. The barrier was already placed around me as it was shimmering with a strange, ethereal energy.

Mother's eyes widened in surprise. "What... is this?" she muttered, her voice tinged with curiosity and annoyance.

I took a deep breath, Marina...helped me. I shouldn't waste time. I have prepared to defeat her. I have hope, thank you Marina

I need one clean spell that can match her with the same energy.

Mother's attacks grew more intense, each one more powerful than the last. But with the protection of Marina's barrier, I held my ground.

I knew I couldn't keep this up forever. I needed a plan to end this. Drawing from the deepest reserves of my power, I prepared one final spell. "[Eclipse Nova]!" I shouted, merging my dark energy with the temporal distortions.

The sphere moved slowly at first, but then accelerated towards Mother. A massive wave of energy erupted from the [Eclipse Nova], engulfing Mother.

Upon impact, it exploded in a blinding flash of dark light, creating a shockwave that rippled through the air. The explosion caused time fragments around her to warp and twist, resulting in her Temporal rift being shattered.

She screamed in frustration as the energy overwhelmed her. My goal is to escape from her Temporal rift.

The alleyway returned to normal, and I collapsed to the ground, exhausted but triumphant. Marina rushed to my side, her eyes filled with concern. "Onii-chan, are you okay?"

Did I just won? How did I just that monster?

I couldn't believe I would defeat her. I feel eternal bliss. So this is the happiness of defeating a superior opponent, I have missed this feeling for a long time.

I nodded weakly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I'm fine, Marina. It's over... for now." I said I giggled crazily found myself to be happy

But deep down, I knew this was just the beginning. I will face foes stronger than her. We had won this battle, but we need to be even powerful.

"No way " Marina cries and I find all of my happiness going away instantly

Mother reappeared, her clothes slightly torn but otherwise unharmed.

Her eyes sparkled with amusement and interest. "Well, that was certainly entertaining, Ethan," she said, her tone light and almost friendly. "You are interesting."

Before I could react, she was suddenly behind me. Her fingers lightly pinched my back, and I felt a sharp bite of pain around my neck. I gasped, startled by the sudden touch.

She leaned in, her breath warm against my ear. Her voice dropped to a more serious tone. "I look forward to our next encounter," she whispered while nibbing my ear lobule. "Take care of yourself, Ethan. And take care of little Marina."

She touched my body awkwardly as if she wasn't quite sure how to make contact. She was very powerful and dangerous, but her actions are strange, it is like she was curious of me.

She stopped for a moment and concluded " It was nice meeting you Ethan. Next time it won't go easy " She smiled with a friendly smile despite having a malicious aura leaking around her.

With that, she stepped back into the Temporal Rift, disappearing from sight. I collapsed to the ground, exhausted.

" Did she let me go away? " I asked wondering whether she was exhausted or let me go away.

Am I too much of bother or unworthy of killing? I feel strangely insulted despite being alive? Human mentality is strange, it is unknown whether we are primitive beasts or intelligent beings.

"I am alive " I whispered as I rubbed my hands, it is good that I am alive right now, I have another chance to rectify my mistake.

The next I will be dead for sure. But I have to wonder where I went wrong?

Marina rushed to my side, her eyes filled with concern. "Ethan onii-san, are you okay?"

"Ah! I am " I said as I rubbed Marina's head and she quietly giggled and smiled.

"Thank god! Mean girl got away! Marina saved you right? " She asked me.

"Yeah, Marina, keep it up, love you " I told her

"I love you too onii-san " She smiled at me happily.

I patted her head, and held her close to me.

Suddenly, I can hear the footsteps around me. I turned, readying myself for another fight, but instead saw familiar faces rushing towards us.

Marina pouted at them " Bad friends! You are bad! You guys left us " She complained

"Chloe, Charlie, Kimora," I exhaled the words as if finally finding replenished hope.

Chloe led the charge, her armor gleaming even in the dim light. Her eyes were filled with fierce determination. "Ethan! Are you alright?" she called out, her voice steady but laced with concern. Her spear has lot of blood on it.

"I'm fine, Chloe," I replied, feeling a wave of relief wash over me.

Behind her, Charlie swaggered forward, his usual confident grin plastered on his face. "Well, well, looks like you had all the fun without us," he teased, though his eyes showed genuine worry.

Her spear has been painted red, with her switching to sword.

Kimora walked with Chole. But I was only too aware of the danger she carried in her body. Kimora was beautiful in her deadly power, like a woman-shaped poison spider.

I can smell blood around them

"I can feel your rage from miles away," Kimora said, her voice smooth and almost melodic. "Looks like you found new depths to your power, Ethan."

"But I fear I might have lost you Darling " Kimora came close and hug me around her bust snuffing me in her breasts.

"Hey! Mean lady! I helped onii-chan the most " Marina argued with pouty face

I nodded, the weight of the recent battle still heavy on my shoulders. "Yes, but it comes at a cost. We need to stay focused and work together if we're going to stop them."

"E-, Master we have to leave, More naix members are coming " She pointed out.
