Ciara's POV

I no longer knew what had occurred next, only that I had awoken to someone softly tapping on my arm.

Flickering my eyes open, they met Mia's.

"Are you okay?" she asked me, while I still struggled to open my squinted eyes fully.

I bobbed my head, and instead of being concerned for myself, I asked, "How's he?"

Mia mumbled, "Who, Vulcan?"

"Fredrick."

"He's back from the hospital, he's resting now."

I sat upright slowly. "Is he okay, now? How long have I been here?" I grimaced, rubbing my forehead.

I was in a room I didn't remember being mine. "Where am I?"

"I found you unconscious outside. This is my room," Mia explained.

Looking around my surroundings, I settled my gaze on her. "Thank you," I murmured, and she heard it.

"My pleasure. How are you feeling now?" She touched my neck with the back of her palm in concern.
