Elle managed to button up his shirt halfway without touching him. She had been careful not to touch him while doing so and didn't dare to lift her eyes to look at him. She was fully aware of how dangerous it was to look into his eyes from such a close distance.

Thus, she kept her gaze focused on his shirt and quietly completed her task. However, as seconds ticked by, the temperature around them seemed to increase dramatically. She could feel his eyes scanning her entire face.

Eager to finish as quickly as possible, Elle tried to speed up. But her attempts only made her more nervous, causing her fingers to fumble even more, and the buttons over his abdomen continually slipped from her grasp. This continued until she accidentally brushed his skin with her fingertips.

He immediately tensed up as Elle withdrew her hand, her head snapping up to look at him. It was an accident! Honestly!
