Kapitel 36: Fulgur Vastitas

Axe and saber continued to collide as I fought Big Mom. At this moment in time we had been fighting for roughly the whole day. As each hour continued, we kept escalating the powers behind our attacks. It was also important to note that we had taken this from the Queen Mama Chanter to the island that was the cause of this conflict to begin with. Linlin was beginning to emit smoke after a while, the more smoke she emitted. The more powerful she was slowly beginning to become, As for me, I countinued to keep maintain the steady pace that we had been going at since the beginning of the battle.

By then, the fleet that I had sensed in the distance had finally arrived and was soon to be recognized as the 1st division of the Whitebeard Pirates. Marco dove into the fray and immediately landed a devastating kick onto Perospero, who immediately spit blood as he flew all the way back to the shore. The momentum had immediately flipped to our favor, but that didn't mean that the victor had already been decided.

As long as the leader continued to fight, the crew would continue to fight to the bitter end. That's just how much faith the crew had in their captain. Unfortunately, the captain in question had an almost unlimited reserve of stamina. Every time that I would land a blow on Charollette Linlin, the captain of the Big Mom Pirates, she would immediately get right back up and continue to fight. Her title as the 'Iron Baloon' couldn't go unrecognized.

However, it didn't mean that I was uninjured either, there were brief moments where she would catch me by surprise and land a devastating blow on me. Thankfully, my devil fruit had high self regeneration. So my injuries would heal almost instantly as we continued to fight, the fight had basically boiled down to who would last longer in battle between me and her. I twirled my axe before I landed its butt on the ground, I had to admit; I was exhausted. Using Conqurer's haki infusion was something that would always be mentally taxing no matter what I was doing.

Big Mom, wasn't doing any better either. She was huffing and puffing as she stabbed Napoleon to the ground. We both looked at the now quiet battlefield, Marco and Jozu had fought Katakuri and Perospero to a stand still. As a result, their stamina gave out and they all passed out with time. Linlin's eyes looked dilated and crazed as she glared at me. Her skinny appearance was hunched back as Prometheus had set her hair on fire, while Zeus was whipping up a storm in the sky. She slowly removed Napoleon from the ground as she began channeling more Conqurer's haki into her blade.

I could feel that this would be our final clash, so I quietly infused my conqurer's haki into my axe. As we had been fighting, I had slowly getting enlightenment on a special move for myself. As I spent all this time in this world, I realised that everyone had a special move of their own. It was a move that contained all their strength and would lead to severe consequences if not evaded or blocked. At first I thought that it would be my energy blasts, but I wanted to have one for my human form. Something that would just absolutely devastate everything in its path. Big Mom's Ikoku Sovereignty had given me some hints on how I wanted to form my own unique move.

As we both slowly began to charge our last attacks, I could slowly sense people slowly starting to get up. Marco, Jozu, Perospero, and Katakuri; while glaring at each other, seemed to watch as we prepared to attack each other. The sky darkened even more as our weapon's began to glow, the dark clouds flashing with purple and silver lightning as our will clashed once more. I hadn't imagined that in a span of a few years, I would be competing with the likes of Big Mom; although she hadn't reached her prime yet.

The air was tense for quite some time. The pirates watched on with halted breathes eagerly waiting for the outcome of our said battle. Suddenly, we lunged at each other, both calling out the names of our techniques. Big mom raised Napoleon over her head and swung down as she vicously yelled, "Ikoku Sovereignty!!" Lightning crackled through my axe as I brought my axe down and swung it up to meet her attack and quietly murmured, "Fulgur Vastitas!"

Our huge attacks collided and split the sky right in two. The impact of the attack had utterly devastated the island to the point that it had began to sink back into the sea. The sky roared with thunder as our impacts collided, It was a clash between silver and purple, her attack made me puke a significant amount of blood. However, it seems that my attack had gravely injured her as well.

Our attacks continued to clash mid way, the island was slowly beginning to sink. I was sloly being pushed back by the force of the attack as the clash continued. By now, my insides were in utter turmoil, my self-regeneration was working overtime trying to heal from the damage while not using so much stamina that it would lower the output of my attack. I could hear cracks coming from the middle of the point of impact. The whole foundation of my attack was to destroy everything within the attacks path. Whereas her Ikoku Sovereignty divides all in its path. It was a collision between the principles of division and pure destruction.

The effects were causing this island to sink back into the sea, It wouldn't be long until this island just crumbles to the powers that we were currently displaying. Although this island didn't have any human population, it did serve as a marker for our territory on this side of the New World. Suddenly, a white light slowly began to engulf my surroundings. All I could do is close my eyes and hope that I would come through this, no matter the injuries. The light engulfed me, and I passed out.
