Thraxis gazed at the planet BlueVail, deep in thought. "How ironic... The Anomaly is creating balance, and the Balance is creating unrest," he remarked, a hint of solemness surrounding him. Neo, who had been observing, frowned as she tried to understand Thraxis's intentions.
"The balance so desired by the Anomaly is being torn down by the Balance... hahaha... HaHaHaHaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" He laughed joyously. And truly, it was ironic; Eleis sought unrest, and the Anomaly sought balance...
Neo tilted her head, feeling confused. "Why do you laugh...? Just why? You are losing... The game you so wanted to play out, yet you are losing in it... yet you laugh joyously? Why? What is it that you see that I failed to?" Neo questioned in her mind as she looked at Ken's residence, where Ken, Aisa, and Eleis were fooling around, enjoying their time.
Thraxis's laughter died down, and he smiled at Neo, who had become a listening companion. "Do you not understand? Let me tell you...
Neither Ken nor Eleis knows what piece I have, but I know exactly what they play at. Ken relies on himself, his knowledge of the world, and his personal power.
While Eleis, who has Ken as her upper limit, is helpless, so she wants Aisa as her piece. She wants Aisa to be the next her, the next Eleis. And honestly, Aisa fits the role perfectly, maybe even more than Eleis herself."
Thraxis explained and chuckled as he stared down at BlueVail, his eyes falling on Mahira, his first piece. Neo followed his line of sight and stared at Mahira, who was busy on her phone.
"Both Ken and Eleis don't know what I have been doing. All they know is I have made my move... I know how they will react in certain situations, but they don't know how I will react," he proclaimed.
Neo silently analyzed his every word and reached an odd conclusion. "The first game... it didn't begin when you made your move... but it began the moment I summoned Ken... and just now, the first game has ended... Is that what you mean?" Neo inferred and tilted her head.
"Spot on!" Thraxis praised, "The first game: Beginning." he announced, "Ken built his foundation, Eleis established her stage, and I... I placed my pieces."
Thraxis revealed, making Neo's thoughts halt. 'Pieces...? Mahira isn't just his only piece,' Neo concluded, her eyes glowing as she tried to figure out how Thraxis gained more pieces without her knowing of it.
"Don't worry, you should write that down in the Book of Records first," he smirked, and Neo simply nodded as she summoned and wrote down their conversation and the conclusion she had come to. "What page are you on now?" he casually asked, not bothered by the fact that Neo was clearly on Ken's side. He was aware of her helping out Ken but wasn't bothered by it and even encouraged it.
"Page 1,000,017," she answered, making Thraxis surprised.
"That's 17 pages... a pity Ken isn't the type to do things randomly, so I doubt he will find them," he shrugged. This was the main reason he didn't care about his conversations with Neo being outed. It would be useful for someone like Ken, but it would still be out of date by the time he reaches page 1,000,000.

Holy shit!! 3791 KILLS!!! AND THE BEAST TO TOP THAT OFF!!!
I limped on my bed, my head buried in my pillow.
I thought I became OP from the 'beta player bonus chip'... I feel weak now... I know I am OP, but taking down almost 4000 monsters and killing the beast? Yeah, not happening...
I peeked at my phone and watched the video of Ken, The Strongest Player, walking like a war god in the field of monsters.
Hahaha... I was very close to him on the battlefield... I thought he was just a good player with short-burst skill... but no, it wasn't skill... just pure raw power, slicing and dicing those monsters like a butcher that's high...
My phone showed The Strongest Player rushing back, making me confused. A green magic circle appeared, and I had a gut feeling about where this was going.
The screen changed and showed the inside of the forest where the wind was strong, and it happened... the wind formed a vortex and grew.
My heart raced as I watched... fuck... I thought that was just the environment acting up or a game mechanic that helps the players...
The screen changed again and showed the forest from a birds-eye view, the tempest was forming and growing... and intently, it was a behemoth that raged through the forest.
I dryly looked at my phone, not wanting to watch more... I had a custom quest to defeat The Strongest Player... which is asking me to commit suicide. Nope... I am not fighting him. The quest didn't have any penalty, so it was already
I affirmed and got into my pod, wanting to get my head out of this mess... Logging in.
Opening my eyes, I was greeted by a familiar white room... well, it's white, so I don't know if it was the same room I came to before or a different one.
And suddenly, everything changed. I looked around a little cautiously... I was in a hallway. A golden door was in front of me. I was in some kind of royal hall or something, the floor was all marble, the walls painted a beautiful white... I will also paint my room things white, it's pretty... and finally, an ornate golden door with insane levels of architectural details.

Suddenly a screen popped up, and I jumped back in fright. I looked at the screen cautiously... I had some trust issues with VR and random white room transportations.
I read the context of the screen in surprise.

Well, this is a surprise... and sure, why not? "Can you pick for me again? I am not a very good judge of things... I will probably pick something bad." I hopefully asked. I know for a fact that I will pick according to looks... I got some really good stuff from the system picking it, so this is probably the best option... I think... better than me picking something good-looking and it is cursed or something.
I didn't get an answer, but instead, someone appeared in front of me. I stepped back, but after I landed, my mind registered that it was floating... Armor?
A high-collar black armor, it looked plain at first glance but looked pretty decent. The breastplate looked plain like clothes and extended down to the mid-thigh with pauldrons? Pauldrons? Something paul-whatever, some kind of shoulder guards. It also came with an attached belt, nice! And on the shoulder guards were unique designs. Overall, it was pretty good.

The sound of something hitting the floor made me look down, and there was another item. It was a dagger that looked like it was made out of ruby. It looked like a decorative dagger with very intricate designs on the handle, guards, and the end of the dagger... don't know the name of the end thing...

Picking up the dagger, I expected it to be heavy, so I jerked it up, but, "Woooo!!" I nearly fell back, but I managed to balance... I guess hunting for monsters is helping me be less clumsy.
I stared at the dagger that felt like a feather... no, a feather has weight, but I feel no weight from this dagger.
Looking around, there was another item! Looks like I am getting some pretty good stuff here!
The last item was a... what is that? It looked like a white scroll. I picked up the scroll and opened it up; it had a pair of wings drawn on it... I don't get it. What is this?

I closed the scroll and opened it up again, and still nothing... "Mind explaining?" I inquired. I got the items, but I don't know what they do. Not like I know what my other items do... the game never tells you shit... just tells you to figure it out or ask someone who knows it...
Sigh... why the fuck is this game even popular? 0.1% of the damn world plays this game... that's like 69 million people... and guess what!? Half the world! a total of more than 35 billion people want to play this game!
Ugh... if only the VR community didn't stop production of this game... more players would really make it easy to find info... Game, why are you so damn popular!!!
Off topic... "Show me the status of the items I gained," I demanded, not expecting much after all this game just likes to force you to figure it out.
Three screens appeared to my surprise. And I stared dumbfounded... they gave me the status, and it looks like it also had a few things.

I blankly stared at the screens that told me about the item and didn't know how to react. The Armor of Haliam is OP, The Empress's Betrayal was probably even more OP but the scroll? It was a lazy angel... I want to see an angel but not a lazy one... That would break the image of holiness of angels in my mind, I am sure of it.
