Kapitel 222: 22. Kisses And Tears.

Mariella was exhausted. Purifying Mimi's rage felt like trying to coax thick, dirty raw oil into straw and then remove all the impurities. She needed her lust, and while her internal purification process worked, she had to engage in sexual activity. It couldn't be mere copulation or mating; it had to be genuine, and it was incredibly tiring.

She had to have the most passionate sex of her life, dedicating days to it without letting anything else occupy her mind. The release of rage required this. It was, after all, her purpose. Rolling onto her side after numbers two, five, and six had filled her again, causing her to scream in ecstasy and create powerful waves of pure lust, she still felt a nagging feeling. She finally realized that number one wasn't engaging in this passionate fuckfest but doing something else; he had been occupied with it for days.

Mariella groaned and asked, "What's going on with number one? Why isn't he contributing?"

Number six replied, "He's been acting as the pack leader since Mimi left, and he's been left with a lot of responsibilities."

Mariella responded, "Oh, she left. How are Wulfe and the others taking it?"

Number two said, "We're doing what needs to be done. We're keeping the lust alive to purify the rage; that's all this is. So we're not just here to have fun but to do the work so she can come back, and we can move forward."

Number two seemed tense, and Mariella understood why. He would have preferred to spend time with Mimi, but he had to satisfy her needs, and her lust, and keep it going.

Mariella expressed, "It's challenging to cleanse this intense rage. I understand that I'm not your preferred person, but thank you nonetheless."

Her voice was slightly condescending, or a little snarky, like she was fishing some love declaration from number two.

Number two, he was a sharp individual and not in the mood for soothe Mariella's ego, responded, "Oh, you know how to make me feel even more insignificant by thanking me like that. Nevermind. We're all struggling, and we must uplift you right now. Keep purifying that rage."

Mariella fell silent for a moment, then attempted to explain, "I didn't mean to make you feel cheap. I just... um, I feel like I'm to blame for her absence, and I'm the villain in this situation."

Number six reassured her, "You're not the only one. Imagine how number one feels. He received a letter, but he's keeping it to himself. I assume there are deep emotions in that letter, and we have to keep moving forward. We dropped the ball to speak, what it came to supporting her, and this is what happened. But maybe this is better. At least we have to focus on fucking and get this rage purified."

He reached over and bit into Mariella's neck. Drained something from his fangs. She moaned as her desire intensified, emitting a mewling sound when number two's skilled fingers caressed her swollen clitoris. "Oh... please... please..."

She was consumed by an intense need to have some cock in her pussy, that felt like throbbing with need. The men grinned savagely and engaged with her once more, as the lust queen had to continue generating lust. This was not the time for guilt, but rather a time for sex, for generating lustful energy, and purifying that rage which had been inflamed.

Wulfe gazed around the well-lit, spacious room where he, Magnum, Number One, Alaric, Tim, Taylor, Dexter, Colin, and Murdock had gathered. Each of them had a stack of papers in front of them, along with laptops and phones. The aroma of old coffee lingered in the air, and there were paper plates from their meals, glasses of blood, and cans of coke scattered across the table.

Wulfe asked, "So, what's next on the list?"

Number One looked up from his laptop and turned to Colin, saying, "What do you think about those three cases? Did Mimi provide any insight? What is your opinion of those assumed diagnoses or treatment plans?"

Colin grunted, rubbed his jaw, and replied, "Yeah, they seem fine. We can assign them to Will. He can handle them if that's the direction we want to go. Although, I this case, we could order more CT scans with sharper contrast for the upper region, it all comes down to cost." He tapped one file absentmindedly with his strong fingers.

Damon interjected, "Let Will decide. Just make sure to let him know that if the cases turn out differently from what Mimi anticipated, he should contact us. But if they align with her expectations, he can handle it."

Wulfe rolled his eyes. They had been here for a few days, ever since Mimi had left or, more accurately, when Damon had discovered she had left and left work for them. To Wulfe's surprise, Number One had taken charge, delegating tasks and keeping Mariella on track.

He had instructed Wulfe to create a potion to expedite the process, and Wulfe had five different ones brewing. One was for Mariella, speeding up her transformation. One was for each wolf, one for Mimosa, and one for Shadow, helping them process their anger and eventually transfer it to Mariella, making it easier for her to handle. One was for Damon, Number One himself, to send the rage back to Mimi through their bond. The last one was for Wulfe, as he needed a boost to perform several spells for this purification. So, he had been quite busy. Additionally, he had to review threat reports for each pack member, including Mimi.

Wulfe groaned inwardly as he realized the workload seemed impossible. They needed to make a plan for what to do, who to contact, and how to deal with clinic consultations. While it was a wonderful distraction from thinking about his unicorn, it could sometimes be boring. Nevertheless, they had to use their brains to come up with ways to eliminate, deal with, and prevent threats.

Wulfe was impressed with the real work they were doing, knowing that most of these tasks would have been handled by Mimi herself. However, Alaric's expertise was necessary, as he had experience dealing with these situations. Damon demanded that he share contacts and other information.

As the pack leader, Damon made the ultimate decisions, but he was not a tyrant. Having a vampire with millennia of experience was beneficial in making final decisions. They now had their place in the dark web to plan these things, and for now, Mimi had no access there. Damon planned to address that later, and if she needed access, he might grant it. But for now, it was just the nine individuals sitting around the table, a new and improved council or the pack's threat division, as Damon liked to call them.

Damon turned to Wulfe and asked, interrupting his thoughts, "Where are we with your potions?"

His voice was calm but firm, displaying professionalism. He expected progress, no excuses.

Wulfe calmly replied, "They will be ready the day after tomorrow. I have about five hours before I have to deal with them again. Dresden and Constantine are working on their part, and then it's up to me."

Damon nodded and made a note.

Magnum chimed in, saying, "We could alert the guys in Europe about these new plans for fear demons. They might be facing similar threats there too, as they have nests there as well."

Taylor, who bore a striking resemblance to an actor from certain Marvel movies, had a tough guy persona.

He commented, "Guys in Europe are lazy. They won't act unless you provide proof for them. They can be a bit dense like that."

Murdock, an assassin and Mimi's mentor, suggested, "If we could identify those demons, we could use assassin guilt to target them. I know they are lacking work, given the state of the world."

Damon pondered, "Do we have a contract with them for Sarks and krychecks? It might keep them busy."

Dexter replied, "We do, but they're not really doing much. They kill one and consider it a done deal."

Damon thought for a while, until Wulfe chimed in, "Why don't we entice them with Mimi's plan? The one she used in South America. Let's make a new deal. Each Sark or Krycheck they bring us earns them a certain sum of money. When we show them the whole pot, what we're able to pay, they might get greedy. The same goes for looting. Let's take a few werewolf packs with us. Offer them money and things to give us leverage over them."

Tim, who looked almost identical to his father and to the aforementioned actor, spoke as he read the report, "Well, it might work or it might not. Even the werewolves might get greedy. They have their pride and aren't so eager to be mercenaries. But we do have a few lesser threats and some facilities that could become nasty. We should warn them they're being watched. Mimi told us how she used to warn certain places that Flea was watching them, and some of them actually improved. I know we could just take them out, and this approach might not work, but it's a fun little stalking game. We could use assassin guilt for that, too. Kill a few financiers, give a warning, and leave some Flea marks here and there. Prevention."

Damon grunted and tapped something on his laptop.

He said, "Alright, Dexter and Murdock, let's make it happen. See if you can negotiate a new deal with them for both types. It's good to have options for lesser threats. If they don't listen, consider this a warning. And Alaric, add surveillance on them if we can pull this off. We need eyes on them all the time, for now at the start. I want to see their reaction. If they start ramping up security, no need to warn them, just put them on the attack list. But let's see if anyone listens and improves."

Murdock and Dexter nodded, also working on their laptops. Damon leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his now lukewarm coffee, which had turned a bit bitter. But it was fine, caffeine was important. Despite the pain in his soul from feeling like he had failed Mimi, he felt alright.

Being the pack leader felt good. He was here, learning new things, and he swore to himself that one day Mimi would be sitting at the table too, planning, talking, and protecting the pack. There were many dangers out there for the pack, for Mimi, and Damon didn't dare to think about what she was doing. Was she safe? Was she really as well as she had let him believe?

Wulfe had warned him when he shared the letter, "Damon, you do realize how easy it is to lie in a letter? You can write whatever you want, and it doesn't have to be the truth. So you have no idea if things were as she said."

Damon reluctantly acknowledged this bitter realization. He didn't doubt her love for him, but he wondered if she was truly as well as she claimed.

A grunt escaped his lips as he looked around the room, with its light grey walls, long dark mahogany table, and dark grey linoleum floor. The window was behind him, and he could see its reflection on his laptop display. The light grey patterned curtains flowed in the summer breeze.

This was just one more room in the big house, and out of the 50 doors, not one of them led to Mimi's heart. Not yet, anyway. He hadn't yet shared his thoughts on Mimi's idea, but he planned to make it his own. He had a few changes in mind, and it would be interesting to see how long it would take to make it happen. Perhaps they could make it a yearly occurrence or something similar.

It could be like a mini holiday for the pack, or lessons to be learned. At one point, Damon wanted to live with Mimi for a few weeks, as the only female, like she used to be. But then again, he did not like to share, so he would have to make sure that there were not too many eager companions when he would be with Mimi.

According to his plan, one two-week period would entail the protector living with them, and he was going to be that one. And then there would be others, too. He glanced at his display, touched it with his finger, and took out his plan and his planned groupings - who goes with whom?

The first two groups would comprise the Salvatores. Group A would consist of 1, 2, 5, 7, and Group B would have 3, 4, 6, 8. He called them Group A and Group B. Then there were Group C: Wulfe, Magnum, Colin, and Murdock. Group D: Dresden, Tim, Taylor, Constantine. Group E: Adam, Charles, Lepard, Demon. Group F: Dexter, Alaric, number 9, and number 10. Six groups, six females. Now he had a list of which group had who. He looked at the list, too. It said:

Group A: Elena, Katherine, Mimosa, Shadow, Mariella, Mimi.

Group B: Katherine, Elena, Shadow, Mimosa, Mimi, Mariella.

Group C: Mimosa, Shadow, Mimi, Mariella, Katherine, Elena.

Group D: Shadow, Mimi, Mariella, Katherine, Elena, Mimosa.

Group E: Mimi, Mariella, Katherine, Elena, Mimosa, Shadow.

Group F: Mariella, Mimosa, Elena, Mimi, Shadow, Katherine.

It would be perfect. First, Mimi would have her four, and then it would be a whole new life after that. And he would then say what state and what house or mansion. Oh, he couldn't wait for the time when he would boss Elena and Katherine around. And yeah, PR gigs would be just right for them. It would be each person's own decision whether to work or just laze in the house.

But then again, you gotta do your part - make food, clean - because during this time there would be no assistance from magic houses. Meaning, wash your own clothes, cleaning up after yourself, and cooking. Of course, if the protector had time, they could cook for their charges. But somehow Damon suspected that there would be no time for that. It would be interesting to learn to function with each other.

Of course, later on, men could also mix things up. But for now, it was easier to keep them grouped together and move females around. However, if someone wanted to swap, he might allow it. But if there was any sign that a guy like Wulfe would always try to himself to be with Mimi, there was no chance. This was about getting to know each other.

Oh, how wonderful it would be for others to see Mimi's half-used clothes scattered everywhere and her other quirks. And when he had grouped the men, he suspected that they would be less inclined to just have sex all the time and forget about everything else.

Each group would have two weeks to live and work. Damon kept his plans a secret for now, as he continued to plan and review these threat reports. He knew others struggled with the fact that Mimi had left, but he believed that better times were ahead, at least to some extent. He was quite certain of it. Let's just say that in the future, there was a high probability of some hilarious encounters when living with Mimi, and others as well.

It would be good for the wolves to spend time on their own and be the only females in the group. They shouldn't always rely on each other but learn to stand on their own two, or if they choose, on their four legs in their wolf forms. Damon knew that this approach would be fun for the future, at least for him. And it might be very educational for others.

Despite Damon being the pack leader for well over 100 years, he sometimes felt like he stumbled in the dark and had no idea what he was doing. Maybe he was a slow learner, but then again, he was supernatural and had plenty of time.
