Jael sighed and put his gun away as well when the representatives hurried out, relieved that it hadn't gone as badly as he had thought it would.

Caspian stood stiffly, looking from Asher to Jael. "Do I get a proper explanation?"

Now that the threats were gone, he stood awkwardly in the dress, wishing he could take it off.

"My guess is that Alpha Warren Reeves made a report to the High Council," Jael answered.

Now the only person confused was Asher, "Warren Reeves?" He repeated, the name new to him.

"The Alpha of Moonstone," Caspian supplied, the realization that Asher had helped him out without fully knowing what was going on either, sinking in.

Asher's expression darkened, "Why do they need the heir then?" He sat down, his displeasure evident.

Jael looked to Caspian as well, he was the only one who could answer that.

When the Omega didn't look like he was going to be answering the question, he spoke up instead.
