Kapitel 160: You belong to me

Robin's father cuts her off, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "But, I did promise you anything," he says, his gaze fixed on the cowering couple.

The boy's father, his eyes downcast, speaks up in a hushed voice. "Please, sir, he is just a child. Surely there is some other way—"

"Silence!" Robin's father roars, his fist slamming down on the ornate table, causing the crystal vase to rattle. "You dare to question my decision?"

The boy's mother lets out a strangled sob, her hands covering her face as she crumples to the floor. The boy wants to rush to her, to offer some comfort, but he is frozen in place, terrified of what might happen if he dares to intervene.

Robin, meanwhile, watches the proceedings with a detached curiosity, her lips curving into a satisfied smile. She knows her father well, and she is confident that he will grant her request, no matter the cost.
