"I thought I made it clear that I just came to visit you and Zaria. Nothing more." She says quickly.

Malik takes a step closer, his expression unreadable. "Nothing more? Is that really how you see it?"

Robin's heart hammers in her chest, but she refuses to back down. "Yes, Malik. We shouldn't have even spent the day together! It was unprofessional and I can see it's clearly taking a toll on your work. I suggest you forget about that day and move on."

Malik's eyes darken, and a muscle in his jaw twitches. "Forget about it? You think it's that easy?" He closes the distance between them, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous tone. "I can't stop thinking about you. The way you felt in my arms, the way your eyes looked..."

Robin's breath catches in her throat as Malik's hand reaches up to gently caress her cheek.
