"Keep firing; don't stop for the love of God!"
Boom!
Immediately after, a grenade exploded behind Frank's rebel forces, shaking the ground twice, drawing everyone's attention.
"Report! What happened?"
Hearing the shouts of his men and the explosion, Frank shuddered. He realized the enemies, whom he thought had reached a silent agreement, had attacked them.
"You… ugh…"
Boom! Boom! Boom!
But just as he turned around, Frank saw a strange-looking grenade land right beside him. Moments later, it exploded.
Everyone was stunned. The smoke and flashes incapacitated them, and shortly after, out of the corner of his eye, Frank noticed black boots stomping the ground.
Startled, Frank realized he was in grave danger. He tried to stand up, but he had lost his balance, and his body was too weak. At the same time, he wanted to know what had happened to his men, hoping they would respond, but there was no movement.
Then, a strong kick hit him in the stomach. The severe pain made Frank's eyes widen in disbelief. His body convulsed, blood gushing from his mouth as his resistance faded.
Securing Frank's body, Dominic pulled out a rope to tie him up and said, "Target secured. Start the operation and take out the enemies!"
He knew it was only a matter of time before the city's walkers reached these streets. The operation had to be done quickly and relocated. If not, after taking care of the walkers, it would be too easy for other enemies to find them.
With Frank in custody, Dominic signaled to his men, and they began eliminating the remaining enemies.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Boom!
Deafening explosions erupted nearby, and voices echoed from all directions. Some shouted for retreat, while others waited for orders from someone named Frank.
"Please, don't kill me!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A burst of bullets pierced through the chest of the pleading man, causing blood to spray everywhere. Frank's man slowly collapsed, powerless to defend himself.
But the people around him didn't have time to care. The walkers were closing in fast, and to everyone's shock, Dominic's group showed no concern for the walkers.
They stood indifferent, silently attacking with firearms in hand, bullets flying from all directions, and sparks flashing everywhere.
It was a burst of despair for Frank's group!
"Cough... cough... I can't hold on anymore!"
Under the constant assault of tear gas, a young woman couldn't bear the torture any longer. She covered her mouth and nose, running out from behind the cars and escaping the smoke.
But before she could take a few steps, a bullet struck her leg, and she fell heavily to the ground, coughing and groaning as she clutched her leg in pain.
"Cough, cough…"
"Damn it! Frank, what do we do now, you psycho son of a—"
Seeing his comrades fall one after another, sweat dripped down the forehead of Frank's second-in-command. He was anxious as he saw the enormous walkers approaching and wished he weren't here.
However, at that moment, he was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
He had only been a soldier before and never commanded a battle this large. He had always followed orders, and his earlier thoughts were just judgments based on his experience.
The original plan was to capture the people they followed to the building and interrogate them about which organization they belonged to. They weren't even enemies. However, everything had escalated into a firefight with Dominic's group.
They had no choice but to figure out who Jack's group was, but the situation had taken a very different turn.
"Everyone, get out of here! Don't be idiots!"
In the end, that man died under the fire of the masked attackers, his life extinguished in seconds.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The other members of the group naturally heard the second-in-command's last words. They endured the burning pain in their eyes, raised their weapons, and fought their way out.
As time passed, the thick smoke began to thin, and the figures outside could now be vaguely seen. They aimed in that direction and began suppressing Dominic's firepower.
"Wait!"
Seeing others covering him desperately, one of the young men nodded heavily, grabbed a Molotov cocktail, and emerged from cover.
The moment he stepped out, gunfire erupted, and countless bullets flew toward him.
While some killed the fallen, another group led by Daryl advanced toward the two massive walkers just ahead.
"Targets at 100 meters, preparing to eliminate special-class walkers!"
"FGM-148 Javelins in position!"
"Targets locked!"
"Fire!"
Roar!!!
As soon as Daryl gave the order, soldiers operating the FGM-148 Javelin missiles pulled the triggers, and two powerful missiles shot out.
Boom! Boom!
The missile impacts were powerful, shaking nearby soldiers, with some falling to the ground due to the proximity of the explosion. Luckily, Dominic's group was equipped with special suits, minimizing the damage.
However, the explosions had been too close, which could have caused more severe problems.
"Confirm the elimination!"
A group of four soldiers cautiously advanced toward the impact zone, sweating beneath their powerful combat suits.
As they moved closer, their hearts pounded faster. Just as they were a few steps away, the dust still clouding their view, they began to hear weak footsteps behind the smoke.
By the time the soldiers realized what was happening, it was already too late. From behind the smoke, dozens of walker figures leaped onto the soldiers.
There were so many walkers, it was impossible to count them all. Yet Dominic didn't panic. He grabbed his radio and said, "Engage the walkers in melee combat and let the machine guns handle the long-range."
"Yes, sir!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The massive horde of walkers that appeared out of nowhere quickly swarmed the area. But Dominic's soldiers reacted fast, drawing their swords and preparing for close combat.
