Kapitel 113: Demonic Couple

Under the cover of the night, figures moved towards a certain location stealthily. Their bloodshot eyes glowed in the dark as they skilfully surrounded the area.

Lucius slowly opened his eyes and frowned. He expected to attract beasts, but not this number. These were not beasts attracted by the smell of corpses, this was a calculated attack.

However, there can be no coordinated attack from beasts unless they are being led by an evolved beast or someone like the Beast Whisperer who could control beasts.

Lucius's eyes narrowed as he rose to his feet and looked to the other side of the dwindling campfire, where Lia was sleeping.

"She's still sleeping. Does she really trust me so much?" Lucius wondered.

[Nope she's just a deep sleeper with zero awareness. Anyone can kill her in her sleep.] Lyxor said.

Lucius chuckled as his fingertips rubbed against the xenosteel chain, and he absorbed its properties, coating his body with steel.
