Kapitel 39: Prophecy

Shion finally calmed down and regained her composure after taking deep breaths.

"Shion-san... Okay let me start from the very beginning. I am Shou, a Shinobi from Kirigakure actually".

"I am looking for you to ask for advice, because of your expertise is fuinjutsu".

Shion nods.

'Yes. I understand. The being inside-'.

"Wait! Let me finish".

Shion is cut off so she can't continue with self explanation that she cooked in her head.

"So I have these sealing tags formula...".

Shou took out a scroll that contains those formula from Ryu Clan scroll and give it to her.

She opened it and read it. She sees its function from the formulas and the description Shou wrote.

"And if I am not troubling you, I need your expertise to help me come up with an Ice nature sealing tags. I have the kekkei genkai you see. Of course, I would pay for it".

Shou make some ice using his chakra, molding it into a little chibby Shion. He placed it in front of her. Seeing how cute it is, she picked it up and play around with it while keep listening.

"So that's the my first purpose to meet you. Okay but before going to the second purpose, the being inside me is NOT evil at all".

Shion furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head.

'Shou-san, perhaps your mind has been corroded by it. When I was sealing it, I can feel its malice, or wrath(?) for a second'.

"Ahaha... Shion-san, if someone use a technique to tie you up out of nowhere of course you would feel malice from them... And if you are sealed for a thousand years by humans of course you would hate humans and have malice. Watatsumi-san inside me had only be unsealed and released 2 years ago from Mount Koryu. Oh and he was split into 5 pieces before, and his body is also sealed somewhere else. I mean, I would be angry if that's done to me, right?".

Shou peeked into the subconcious to see how Watatsumi is doing for a second.

I will tear her to pieces!! RAHHHH!!!! Watatsumi keep banging on the cages.

(⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠)I see... That definitely looks evil...

"Watatsumi-san is my partner. He may hates humans a little, but it's because what he had been through for hundreds or thousands of years being sealed. But he's definitely a nice being!".

Shion shook her head.

'Even if he's not originally evil, but it's still too dangerous. You say it yourself that he hates humans. He could have consumed you easily and it would harm many people!'.

"He could have but didn't! I agreed to share my body with him, and few other things, and that's why there's no seal to begin with. He's an 'honourable being' Shion-san".

Shion took a deep breather, contemplating his words.

'I will see him first to judge'.

"Uhh...". Shou peeked in his subconscious space again.

Wretched woman!!! Just wait until I get out of this cage and I will-

"Ahaha... Shion-san... He's very angry at you right now... I don't think you should meet him. I think you will still think he's evil if you see him right now...".

Shion take a breather.

'I understand what you have said. But I will see it first'.

Shion stood and went to sit right across Shou. Shou is a little flustered having Shion so close to him.

She went to weaved some unconventional hand signs unique to her techniques.

Shōzen → Min → Shin → Jin

Fuinjutsu: Soul Tapping

Pinkish chakra emanates from her body, making her looks half ethereal.

'Give me your hands'.

Shou complied and did so. Shion-san is really pretty, and it's accentuated by the pinkish light and aura. Her hands is really soft, unlike those of Shinobis. Shou blushed a little feeling a embarassed having his hands held by a girl.

The pink chakra crawled onto Shou, and enters his body

Shion opened her eyes and sees the subconscious space in Shou, and the cage in front of her that she has made herself.

Shou also appeared next to her.

"Watatsumi-san, act nice, act nice!".

Grrr... Fine...

They whispered to each other.

Shion nervously walked towards the cage and see the silver-white being inside. It's two huge wings and horns are making her nervous.

'So you are Watatsumi. What is your purpose to be inside of his body!'. Shion ask with conviction.

Purpose?! I can't exist without my body! You want me to just die?! So preposterous!!!

Shion thought about it. It's similar to Moryo's soul who's existence will fade if he's out of his body and is out of his seal. You could say the seal keep his existence, existing. But you can't just let his soul free thinking it would kill him because he would just find people to possess temporarily until he gets to his body. It wasn't so simple.

"He's right wasn't he Shion-san...". Shou supported Watatsumi.

'So you let him share your body...?'.

Hmph!

"It's more like he can use my body anytime he wants technically, you could say he has higher authority over me? But Watatsumi-san is really nice to not trouble me too much. He's a nice being you see. And he had helped me out a lot of times, I would have died without him. And I also agreed to help him in exchange and I will definitely keep my promise to him. So Shion-san, please release him!".

Shion took a deep breath and look at the dragon contemplating it.

What are you waiting for? Open this cage!

Shion sighed.

'Alright...'.

She weaved some hand signs in few seconds.

'Kai!'.

She slammed her palm onto the cage!

The cage visibly cracks and starts to break down. The chains tying Watatsumi cracked and eventually shatters into chakra and dissipated.

Watatsumi opened his wings and flapped it furiously feeling sores all over his body. The wind gust is so strong Shion lost her footing and almost fell.

Shou caught her quickly fortunately.

"You okay, Shion-san?".

Shion opened her eyes and sees the cool, dependable, cute figure. Shion blushed a little, quite embarassed to be held. She quickly stand on her ground and pat her pants. Shou is a little too kakkoii and cute up front too.

'Ehem. I am fine...'.

Hmph! Woman! How dare you tie me up! If not for Shou over there I would have consumed you!

"Watatsumi-san! Chill!".

"Shion-san, I think you should apologise to him...".

Shion nods and bowed a little to Watatsumi, hoping to quell his anger a little.

'I am sorry Watatsumi-san! I was a little rash with my technique...'.

Hmph! Leave while I am still patient!

Shion nervously get out of the subconscious space back into her body. Watatsumi is of course is reminded of his trauma of being sealed for who knows how long seeing the cages. He controlled his temper well relatively speaking.

"Ahaha... It must felt scary to meet him, being mad like that. He's usually nice you see!".

'Ahaha... I see...'.

"Ehem. So... Getting back to why I am here...".

Shion listened again on what Shou needed and sees the scroll he had on the sealing tags.

"Hmm... For ice release, a combination of chakra nature of wind and water, I think you need to find the right ratio of elements in the formula...".

Shion read the scroll, specifically reading and analysing the ones used in wind and water attribute tags.

'Its quite simple, I just need to experiment and calculate the right ratio formulas for the different techniques you want to seal and use. And then you have to test it since only you, with the kekkei genkai, can use it. And then I could adjust it'.

Shou has his eyes shining hearing her response.

"Shion-san! As expected of the queen of priestess!".

'My official title is Saishu'. Shion laughed a little feeling it's a little funny.

"Then, about the payment... I saved up quite a lot the past 2 years so state your price. I am a Jonin level ninja by the way so I have some money".

'Jonin? You look so young... No. I see, you have Watatsumi with you, no wonder'.

Shou wanted to retort but just let her be.

Shion thought about the payment. She's technically is already well-off and she already able to eat royalty class food each day already due to her status as the Saishu of the Land of Demons. Her status is basically equal to the Daimyo himself in the eyes of people here. So money is least of her concern. What concerns her most is the vision she had. It's too horrifying.

"Just 1 million ryo is enough". It's more of a good gesture than wanting money really.

J-just?

1 million is the minimum reward for any S rank mission. And A rank mission only gives 150 000 ryo minimum, but it does may reach up to 1 million. But how many ninjas can complete A or S ranks? And how many of them can solo missions and not share the rewards? The average ninjas are only Chunin, which is the majority. Jonin is already a smaller portion in the ninja world so having 1 million ryo lying around is not common at all.

But since Shou is a Shinobi with cheat kekkei genkai and being a perfect jinchuriki of course it's not that much for him but he don't think most people can use the word 'just' for a million ryo. Shion have a different world view doesn't she...

Shou unsealed a scroll and a bag of cash is summoned.

"Here, Shion-san. I am happy for our cooperation!".

Shion just glanced at it and close the bag. She sees it should be enough and doesn't care even if it's not.

'Don't mention it. I am quite free most of the times so it's not much. But I have something important to tell you. I have the ability to see the 'death' of someone. It's an ability passed down from priestesses to priestesses, from mother to child. My visions... They always comes true. And I see, yours...'.

Shou felt his heart startled and feel very nervous.

"How did I die...?".

Shou tried to calm his breath. He knows Shion has that ability. But for him it's fine because in fact the death scene she sees CAN be changed, just like how she's able to save Naruto from dying. The only reason her vision comes true is because she herself believe it cannot be changed and she doesn't know how to use her power.

'Umm... It's, I am not sure but your death is very... Unusual...'.

Shion describes the visions she sees. The 'eyes' covering the sky. The fear, and despair she felt suffocating the world.

Shou is in deep thoughts.

Eyes in the sky? A little bizarre... No. Perhaps it's a genjutsu? Something like Mugen Tsukiyomi? Shou thought it's closer to that. Since eyes means dojutsu, it's probably an eye technique.

When it comes to eyes techniques, he can only attribute it to the Uchihas and the Otsutsukis.

Well, he will have to be warry of those he suppose.

"Thank you Shion-san. I will be careful".

Shion wanted to say more because Shou doesn't seem to understand the gravity of it.

'Just being careful is not enough. Its not just you. But, everyone else. Like I said... It covered the whole sky... The whole world. It's, everyone, Shou-san. My vision, I am sure of it. It's not just you...'.

"You mean? The whole world is affected?".

'It felt like... The end of the world to be exact'. What Shion fears most is the fact that she can't change her vision. So that definitely WILL happen in her mind. That's far too horrifying. She don't think she can live in peace knowing that day will come.

"Oh... That's...".

"Hmm. No worry Shion-san! I am sure it will be fine".

'You don't get it! What I see can't change. And... This time... It's too much...'.

Shou looks at Shion who suddenly went quiet, quite confused.

'You know, I am only able to composed as I am now because I can't figure out what to do in that situation... All hope is already lose. I know I can't change anything. So if the end of the world comes, there's nothing I can do anyways. That's why...'.

Kaa-san. What use do I have with my power? I trained my whole life in fuinjutsu, but at the end of the day, what's bound to happen will still come...

"Shion-san".

Shou sees the dread Shion has, from already giving up. He's not sure what exactly she sees to even give up like this. She tried her best to save Naruto before (in the future) doesn't she?

Shou held her hands, trying to give her the confidence boost.

"The future can be changed!". To be fair, Shou himself has already changed the supposed future. Haku and Zabuza being alive to this day is already a proven fact to this.

"Trust me Shion-san. In the future, there would be heroes. And there's also Sage of the Sixth Path somewhere observing, he's alive you see. And there are amazing people on this world that can prevent the world from ending! And me included, hihi".

Shou bragged a little since he would say he can stand side by side with the protagonists of this world already. Albeit his chakra volume is lower than that of Naruto+half Kurama, but his type of power compensate for the lack of volume. And maybe, just maybe, if there's really some world ending threat and no one is strong enough they could unseal Kaguya and just let her deal with the threat or something. Kaguya ultimately had an affection towards this Shinobi world. Other otsutsuki would drain it dry out of energy and just leave the world to find other world but Kaguya only drained some of it to make white zetsu and still wanted to stay on this planet and genuinely wants to protect it. So Kaguya wasn't the worst last option there is compared to everyone dying. Shou had cooked various ideas when it comes Otsutsuki or aliens threats, some involves Orochimaru, Toneri, Kamado, and Shibai Otsutsuki corpse somewhere. There's also chimera technique from Hiruko ect. This world has so much possibilities to fight against world ending threats. He didn't know how the story progress in the future since Boruto was not finished when he died but there's always options.

'But...'.

"Shion-san. You too have power to be a hero! You are super strong! Your power is sealed right? If you unseal them, I am sure you too can help protect this world. Uhh... But it will be a little painful to fight so...". Although Shion's true power is powerful, the image of her going fist to fist with Jigen or Otsutsukis seems wrong in his head. She never trained to fight; only sealing after all. Uhh. Should I take my words back? Shou contemplates it.

'Huh... I have strong power?'.

Shion doesn't get it.

"Shion, the bell you carry there. Its a seal your mother made for you wasn't it".

'How did you...'. Shion is flabbergasted.

"Hmm... I actually know a little about the future. It's a secret alright? You seems to worried about the future, so I tell you this. Don't worry. I had seen the 'future' in my dream before, Shion-san. I have only seen it once though, but a lot of things have changed since then. I had seen you in that dream too. You used your power to save this yellow haired guy from Moryo attacks, changing the prophecy you had seen about his death. I am being for real".

Hmph. Really now? Watatsumi is quite skeptical, but considering the things Shou knows, it's actually possible he suppose. He had always kept that question in his heart on how Shou is so knowledgeable. For example, how did he know this Shion and Moryo? He swears he never seen Shou asking anyone or finding info on them but he knows it somehow already.

'Really...?'.

"Yeah! The future can definitely be changed. So you don't have to worry Shion-san".

Shou thought of a solution as well...

"If you are worried, how about training your power?".

'Training my power...?'.

"Mm. Shion-san, your mother, she sealed your power early on, afraid that you would become a threat greater than Moryo".

Shion, remember to always carry the bell with you. It would protect you.

Shion remembered her late mother, and the bell here that she always carried. So this is... A seal containing my power...

She held the bell in her hand, reminiscing her late mother.

"Shion-san. I trust you are a kind person. You tried to help me to your best of abilities and you are worried for my death, or the world's ending. That's why, you should decide for yourself how to use that power. You can make a change for sure. Who know's maybe some day we can fight together against aliens or something haha". Shou added jokingly but it's actually a serious thing - because Shou does not know what happens after Boruto since he died too early. The short term plan is to keep the plot as it is until it reaches the point where the plot progressed passed what Shou knows. Still, he wanted to prepare to guarantee safety of everyone most. And one of it is having Shion training her true power. She has too much potential it's wasted if she didn't train it.

...

The revelation is too heavy for her. It's weighing on her more than anything especially seeing such a vision prior. And that Shou encouraged her to train to fight against fate itself.

'I... I will think about it, Shou-san'.

Even if it's true that her power is sealed and her true potential exceed Moryo himself, but... It's still too much to take in.

The vision she sees, if she goes against it... She felt afraid just thinking about it. For her, her whole life she had only been thinking and training to deal with Moryo. She never had any grand goal like going against the end of the world. Being a Miko her whole life, to suddenly find herself in something so big that revolves the whole fate of mankind is too burdening.

'Shou-san, I will need to take a rest. I used a lot of energy today. You should stay here for a while, my guards will lead you to the guest room'.

It's just an excuse to think about things really.

"Mm. Alright. Rest well Shion-san".

Shion look at her hands that's been held for so long. She blushed a little, feeling a little embarassed realising how long has her hands been held.

"Oh. Sorry... Didn't realise I was holding your hands for so long haha...". Shou moved his hands away and scratched his cheek.

'Its alright. You did reassure me. You are nice person Shou-san'.

"Am I? Haha... I don't know... I am just saying how I felt Shion-san...".

'Thats why'.

Shion smiled a little and went outside to call on her guards. One of them escorted her to her bedroom, while the other escorted Shion to his bedroom.

"This bed is better than the one in my room don't you think so?". Shou felt it's more fluffy. Maybe because this place is equivalent to a castle of a royalty after all.

Hmph. You always notice the insignificant things. Watatsumi shook his head.

Shou ignored his words and just rolled around in bed. It felt like the 'Excellent Luck' he drawed sort of comes true with Shion agreeing to help him make Ice Release tags, although there's a little bump where Watatsumi got bullied a little.

He is already imagining himself throwing Kunai with the ice release tag on, making ice mirror right behind the enemy unexpectedly and act like Minato 2.0 to beat Obito up; it's exciting to think about.

On his next checklist, he needs to wait for the proper time to ask her to see Moryo's body. If he ask that first she might freak out and refuse to help him on the tags after all so he didn't mention it yet.
