Kapitel 339: Chapter 339 Magic is the miracle of life

"Have a seat!"

Dumbledore had been reading a book, but upon seeing Andy and Hermione, he immediately put it in a desk drawer without moving and took off his glasses to rub his eyes.

"Do you want something to drink? A glass of milk at night helps with a good night's sleep." Dumbledore asked with a smile after putting on his glasses.

Andy found the smile a little creepy.

Secrets of the Darkest Art

Andy saw the name of the book.

The old headmaster was studying dark magic alone in a gloomy old castle in the middle of the night, how could this kind of thing can't be considered creepy?

Bumping into this kind of thing ... we shouldn't be silenced, right?

"Thanks!" Andy was not polite.

Dumbledore just tapped the tabletop, and two glasses of hot milk appeared in front of Andy and Hermione.

"Thank you, Professor," Hermione said politely.

Dumbledore looked at Andy duo and asked, "Do you two want something from me?"

"Well ... it's like this."

Andy weighed his words and asked, "Professor, there are two magic spells that I don't quite understand, so I would like to ask you for advice."

"Oh?"

Dumbledore seemed to be interested, he held up his glasses and asked, "Which two spells?"

"The first spell is this one."

Andy took out his wand and flicked it mid-air, and the fat cat patronus immediately leapt out from the tip of the wand in a flash.

Dumbledore stared at the fat cat patronus that was amusing itself in mid-air with an expression that seemed like he was a little surprised.

"It's still a patronus charm!"

Andy explained, "During the Christmas holidays, I went to consult Mrs Bagshot and asked her about the story of Andros. It's just that the only two things that seem to be recorded about Andros are invincibility and giant patronus."

"Mrs Bagshot said that she had seen the name 'Andros' in many relics of the ancient Greek era, but the accounts about him were basically the same."

At this point, Andy suddenly paused before continuing, "So I guess that Andros must have often duelled with people and used the Patronus Charm in the duel."

Dumbledore listened quietly.

Andy continued, "The patronus charm is a fusion of happy emotions and magic, but if the patronus becomes a magical creature, then what does it feed on?"

"My guess is happiness! A duel victory would make Andros happy, and it would make his patrons happy as well."

"And the way it grows, it seems very similar to our school's Peeves - they're both a fusion of mind and magic."

Dumbledore looked at Andy, "Once again, Mr Collins, you have shocked me."

Andy was expressionless: just pretend!

"This is the magic and greatness of magic."

Dumbledore said, "Magic can create life - in fact, many magical creatures in the magic world were created by wizards."

"Such as the Dementors that guard Azkaban!"

Andy nodded at this.

He hadn't thought about this before, but now that he thought about it, it seemed to be true.

Hermione raised an eyebrow at that and asked, "Professor, what about vampires and werewolves? Are they also created by wizards?"

Dumbledore's expression looked a bit more serious, but his tone remained amiable, "Miss Granger, although the mainstream of the magic world has been rejecting vampires and werewolves, I don't want to refer to them as magical creatures."

"They are ... humans like us."

"Professor, I'm not prejudiced against them," Hermione said hastily; as if she was afraid that Dumbledore would hate her for it.

"Of course! We all know that."

Dumbledore continued, "The fact is, both werewolves and vampires appeared because of magical accidents."

"I don't deny that most werewolves and vampires are bad people, and you should be careful enough when you encounter them, but we can't define a group because of that."

"There are also friendly people amongst werewolves and vampires."

"I know, Professor!" Hermione said.

Andy didn't say anything.

The truth was that the ones like Dumbledore were the true minority, and the views of the minority did not affect the majority.

However, the perception of the majority in a group was enough to influence the minority.

Andy rubbed his nose, "Professor...?"

It's off-topic!

Dumbledore didn't continue this topic, he glanced at Andy's patronus and said, "Magic created a body for it, your mind created a soul for it - Mr Collins, you have indeed created a life."

Andy hurriedly pursued, "Professor Dumbledore, what about the Animagus? I don't think Animagus is just a mere transfiguration spell, but rather the use of magic to create an animal's body."

Dumbledore nodded, "Your senses remain sharp ... Mr Collins."

"The two heartbeats, the animal's brain, and the animal's natural habits and instincts ... you should have felt that, right?"

Andy nodded in a hurry.

As a matter of fact, after understanding the nature of Animagus, Andy suddenly felt that the world of magic was full of fog, instead of being clear and visible at a glance like before.

Andy felt as if he had touched something, but couldn't grasp a thing.

And this was the main reason why Andy couldn't wait to come to Dumbledore.

Dumbledore looked at Andy and continued, "Mr Collins, I have to say that you are a natural wizard. I have never seen any wizard who can achieve such an accomplishment at such a young age."

Of course, this was referring to achievements in the field of magic.

Andy was a little thrilled at his words.

But the reason why Andy was thrilled was not because of the praise he received from Dumbledore.

Rather, ... since Dumbledore said such a thing, then his next words would most likely solve Andy's doubts.

Sure enough, he heard Dumbledore continue, "Actually, you should have already felt it, right? Magic is the power of life. And life-creating magic is not something to be surprised about."

Andy nodded and said, "Indeed! I think magic power originates from our lives. That's why wizards who have lost their bodies can't use any magic."

"Even Voldemort needs to absorb life force to regain his power."

Dumbledore suddenly asked, "Then ... Mr Collins, what do you think is life?"

Andy froze at his words.

What is life?

This question seems to be very simple because life is living. Only when the body survives can it be called truly alive.

But what about the ... soul?

Dumbledore did not continue to peddle, he pointed to the location of Andy's heart and said, "The combination of the soul and the body is what is called life, and life is all you have."

"That's why we can use magic through this power, and create life through this power - because magic is the miracle of life."
