Kapitel 12: "Sunday"
We were now at the dining table, with Mikan seated beside me, and Rito and Lala across from us, all of us eating breakfast. We were a little late because Mikan and I had spent quite a while in the bathroom.
While eating, Rito suddenly asked, "Mikan, did you hear some weird noises coming from the bathroom earlier?"
I almost choked at Rito's question, and I caught a glance of Mikan flinching when she heard it.
"Yeah, I heard it too! I wonder what it is?" Lala said, following up on Rito's question as she tilted her head in thought.
"Oh, really? I didn't hear anything. Did you, Yuu-nii?" She looked at me with a weirdly scary smile as she pinched my thigh.
Clearing my throat, I replied, "Ahem. Nope, I didn't hear anything either."
"Really? I wonder if it's just my imagination," Rito mumbled to himself as he thought about it.
Interrupting Rito's thoughts, I said, "Hey, Rito."
"Yes?" Rito replied a bit startled, his thoughts interrupted.
"Since Mikan already knew and you're the only one who didn't, I'll come out and say it," I said.
"What is it, Yuu-nii?" he asked.
"I'm not really your twin, and you and Mikan are not really my siblings. We're cousins," I explained.
Rito was in shock and seemed to not know what to say or how to react.
Seeing Rito in his state, I told him, "Don't overthink it, Rits. It's not like it really matters that much if we're real siblings or not. We're family; it's not going to change."
"That's right, Rito. Siblings or not, nothing will change," Mikan followed.
"You are right, but it's still shocking. I can't really help it," Rito replied.
While we're having this discussion, Lala was just enjoying her food, not minding the conversation, because I think she knows that nothing will really change even if that were the case, because we are already a family.
Realizing something, I said, "Oh right. I didn't really ask, but Mi-chan, how come you knew?"
"That? Well, I was actually eavesdropping when Mom revealed the truth to you, Yuu-nii," she answered.
"So you eavesdropped, but if I'm not mistaken, that was three years ago," I said.
"Huh?! Mikan, you knew that long and you didn't say anything?" Rito said in surprise.
"Well, no one really asked, and it's not like it matters anyway. Yuu-nii is still Yuu-nii," Mikan replied calmly.
"Well, I suppose..." Rito said.
"Okay, enough of that," I said, dropping the subject, then added, "Anyway, let's give Lala a tour in town later. And Rito, you are coming with."
"Eh? Why?" he asked.
"You're her fiancé; take responsibility. Plus, it's been a while since we got out together," I explained.
"Okay," he gave up, while Lala was just enjoying her breakfast.

It's Sunday, and we're in town now. Lala is saying stuff like, "So this is the Earthlings' town," and commenting on how interesting it is.
As Lala is immersed in looking around, the people around are also immersed in looking at her because of her unique outfit. It looks like Rito had enough of it and made his way to Lala, dragging her to a corner where there's no one around, and of course, Mikan and I followed them.
Upon arriving in the corner, Lala asked why Rito dragged her there, and Rito said that before looking around, Lala had to do something about her clothes first. Naturally, she asked why again.
It was then Mikan explained to Lala that on Earth, her outfit stands out too much, and people are looking at her. She had to wear something that an Earthling would wear, and Peke agreed with Mikan.
As Peke can imitate any outfit, Lala ordered him to scan and transform into that outfit. And there she goes, trying different outfits, but it takes a few more tries as she imitated quite unique clothes, even for Earthlings to wear in public.
*Popped*
She changed clothes from a man's outfit to a bunny suit, a girl-police outfit, Goku's wear, a stone-age outfit, and even a mascot. Doing this in succession, Rito had enough of her shenanigans and shouted, "If you keep fooling around, we're going home! So cut it out already!"
At his outburst, I told Mikan, "This is why she needs to buy real clothes."
"Let's deal with that later, Nii," Mikan replied.
And then I heard Lala say, "This, then?" asking Rito.
The three of us looked at her, and Mikan commented first, "Ah, that's cute."
I then followed and said, crossing my arms and nodding, "She's pretty." Mikan then elbowed me, and I just smiled warily in response.
Rito then said, "That... That one works," while looking away, seeming to be blushing a little.
Lala then took Rito's arm and started to drag him, and then Mikan whispered to Rito, "Getting all lovey-dovey there, aren't you Rito? Maybe we shouldn't tag along, huh?"
And there we go, we started to walk and look around, from looking at the costume shop where Lala presented a mask she picked up to Rito, and Rito wore it, playing around. Then we got Taiyaki, and finally, we arrived at the game walk, an arcade.
Lala then asked what the machines inside were, and Mikan explained that they were crane machines that would operate as you put money in and try your luck to get the toys inside.
Lala looked at the stuffed toy, saying how cute it is, and Mikan said that it'll be hard to get.
It was then Rito sighed and said, "You're hopeless," then he showed her skill on the crane machine and won Lala the stuffed toy she wanted.
Mikan then commented, "He's just pointlessly good at these useless little things." I then gave a side comment, "At least he makes his fiancée happy; just look at her."
We then looked at Lala, who looked happy and thanked Rito, then said that she'll treasure it.
We left the game walk and continued to look around when something happened to Lala's outfit. It started to disappear bit by bit. Noticing it, Mikan and Rito asked what was happening, and because I already knew what was happening, I didn't react much as they did.
It was then Peke spoke and explained that because of the continuous form exchange earlier, Peke's energy was running low, and Lala would lose her clothes in 3 minutes.
After Peke explained, Rito began to drag Lala, and we started to run to find somewhere to hide Lala as her clothes started to disappear rapidly, revealing a lot of her bare skin. As it was getting worse, Mikan shouted, "Let's go to that clothing store!"
Arriving inside, we realized that it was a lingerie store for women, and Rito tried to leave, but I stopped him, saying that we didn't have a choice. He gave up as Mikan grabbed a handful of lingerie and pushed it to Lala as she led her to the changing room.
As Lala went inside, Mikan said, "I'll go and buy clothes for Lala," as she left. It was then I said to Rito, "I'll go with Mi-chan, Rito. Take care of your lovely wife." I then followed Mikan.
As I left, I heard Rito's shout, "We're not married!" Then he sighed and accepted his fate.
Following Mikan, I asked her, "What do you think of Rito and Lala-san's relationship, Mi-chan?"
"Well, I think they're good together," Mikan replied.
"I think so too, but I know Rito is already in love with Sairenji-san," I said.
"Oh, it will work out somehow. Rito seems to already care for Lala, right, Nii?" she said, then asked.
"Well, that's just the way he is. But I think Rito will end up with a harem instead of me," I said.
"Eh? Why is that?" she asked.
"Well, he's indecisive and also too kind, so I don't think he can just reject someone if they express themselves sincerely enough," I explained.
"You might be right, Nii. But I doubt he's that popular to have a harem," she replied as she finished paying for the clothes for Lala.
"We'll see about that," I replied, but it seemed Mikan ignored my statement. I shrugged it off.
After buying, Mikan then linked her arms with mine and said, "Hey Nii, when will we go on a date?"
"Let's see... maybe next weekend, Mi-chan," I replied.
"Okay!" she replied as we headed back to Lala and Rito, linking arms.
On our way back, I saw Sairenji in front, not far from Rito. I said, "Oh, it's Sairenji-san."
Mikan reacted to what I said and looked at Sairenji, asking, "Sairenji-san? That Sairenji?"
"Yap, that's Sairenji," I replied. Mikan then inquired, "I think she's Rito's classmate since junior high..."
"Enough of that, let's greet them," I said, and we continued to walk.
Upon arriving, I announced our presence, greeting Sairenji with a smile. With my greetings, Rito, Lala, and Sairenji looked at Mikan and me linking arms. Lala and Rito seemed not to care about us linking arms, probably because they know how close Mikan and I are. Sairenji, however, I can only guess.
"Ah, Yuu-san, hello," Sairenji replied.
"What a coincidence, you out shopping?" I asked.
As I started to talk to Sairenji, Mikan then let go of my arms and went to Lala, who was just wearing underwear standing at the open curtain fitting room, and gave Lala the clothes we brought for her.
"Ah, no, I'm just looking around," Sairenji replied.
Seeing Rito being quiet, I decided to involve him. "Is that so," I said, then looked at Rito and added, "Hey Rits, why are you being so quiet?"
Still lost in his thoughts, Rito was startled upon me bringing up his name and said, "E-Eh?"
Gesturing like I realized something, I said, "Oh right, we're in this kind of shop, and Sairenji saw you alone with Lala."
Rito then reacted in embarrassment, "Yuu-nii!"
At his outburst, Mikan then appeared from behind me, claiming my arms, and said, "Yuu-nii, don't tease Rito too much." She then looked at Sairenji with a smile.
"Fine... anyway, Sairenji-san, this is Mikan, Mikan Yuuki, Rito's and my little sister," I said, introducing Mikan. Then Mikan followed up and said, "Nice to meet you, Sairenji-san."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Haruna, Haruna Sairenji," she replied, introducing herself.
"By the way, as we toured Lala around town, something happened to Lala's clothes, so we had to head here in a hurry, so don't think weirdly of Rito," I explained, and then Rito followed by saying, "Tha- That's right!"
"Oh, I see," Sairenji replied, as she said that Lala finished wearing clothes and came out of the fitting room.
Seeing Lala, I said, "Now Lala's done, let's go." Mikan then added, "Sairenji-san, how about you come with us?"
"Is that okay?" Sairenji asked. Then I replied, "Why not? Let's go." We then got going as Mikan and I walked linking arms.
Sairenji wore a dress with dark blue short sleeves under a light blue t-shirt. Lala wore a dark blue dress with blue pants. Mikan had on an orange sando with a yellow jacket and blue pants, while Rito and I were dressed casually.
While walking, I was at the side with Mikan linked arms, Sairenji beside Mikan, then Lala, while Rito was at the back. Mikan then asked, "Um, can I call you Haruna-san?"
"Ah, yes, please do, Mikan-chan," Sairenji replied.
We continued to walk as we all chatted until Lala pointed to a building with a sign that said Aquarium and asked, "What's that?"
"That's the Aquarium. It's a place where you can pay to see fish and all sorts of other sea creatures," Mikan explained.
"Wow! That sounds fun, I wanna go!" Lala said enthusiastically.
"Sounds good. How about it?" I looked at them and asked.
