Where's Butler?

Meanwhile, outside the gaming dungeon, Wallace found himself surrounded by a group of Mana Knights, their shiny armor reflecting the sunlight.

They stared at him, demanding answers with their questioning looks. Mage Marcus, always curious, stepped forward and spoke with an intrigued tone.

"Sir Baron, sorry to ask, but can you explain why we have to pay ten magic crystals? It says that once we become a magic crystal, we don't have to pay again, even if we face a game over in the virtual world."

The other Mana Knights—Alistair, Cedric, Eldric, Gideon, Ivander, and Jasper—all nodded in agreement, their faces showing the same doubt as Marcus. However, Wallace stood his ground, keeping his eyes locked on them.

"Well, gentlemen, it's your own fault. You all applied to be my personal Mana Knights, which means you're only temporary citizens for now. Your status as full citizens is still pending while my Dungeon power decides where to place you. It's crucial that you prove yourselves tomorrow, and once you do, you won't have to worry about such matters anymore," he explained, his voice carrying a mix of authority and condescension.

Wallace was tempted to dismiss them and ask them to return tomorrow, but a sinister idea entered his mind—a thought that extracting more magic crystals from them would be a more advantageous deal.

He pushed aside his doubts and allowed them to express their concerns freely.

Suddenly, Mage Marcus snorted audibly, showing his disdain.

"Stingy," he muttered, knowing that Wallace would respond. He secretly hoped to convince the Baron to give them free access to the game since they've been paying too much, especially himself.

Yet, hearing the decline directly from Wallace hurt Marcus more than he expected.

One by one, the Mana Knights reluctantly stepped forward and paid their owed magic crystals, getting ready to go back to the dangerous depths of the 'gaming dungeon.' Wallace nodded with a wicked grin, his voice filled with greed.

"Excellent, excellent. Go ahead, throw yourselves back into your deaths you weak as shits and pay me for the pleasure," he taunted, his eyes fixed on the precious crystals. His words were filled with pure contempt, making the Mana Knights bristle with irritation and testing their loyalty to the limit.

Meanwhile, Rederic, who had just emerged from the depths of the dungeon, witnessed the interaction between Wallace and Mage Marcus who was accompanied by his fellow Mana Knights.

Rederic could only stand in awe as he observed the scene.

Just what happened? How did it come to this? Why are they reacting like this in front of the young Noble Baron himself?

Unbeknownst to Rederic, earlier, Wallace was overwhelmed by their inquiries, and couldn't contain his frustration any longer.

"You damn weaklings, you all suck dick so stop asking too many questions!"

It was a curse slipped past his lips, now, the Mana Knights fueled by the memories of the dreaded 'Facehugger' incident, plus Wallace's curses on them only made the situation worse.

Soon, Mage Marcus and the Mana Knights found themselves succumbing to the same outbursts filled with swear words.

"You damn greed Baron! Maybe it's your dungeon but you cannot play in it!"

The atmosphere within their group shifted dramatically, transforming into a cauldron of anger and resentment.

"It was known that Noble Barons could not enter their dungeon, only until they became a titled Viscount. That's when they could enter!"

That what made Wallace cursed nonstop!

Sensing the tension, even though his team already went inside the 'Gaming Dungeon' Rederic decided it was best not to disturb Wallace, who seemed to be in a bad mood.

However, Wallace noticed Rederic's presence with his sharp eyes. He turned his gaze towards the newcomer and demanded an explanation. "Why aren't you joining them?" he questioned, his voice sharp and direct.

He sounds like he is still pissed.

Rederic, choosing his words carefully, replied respectfully, "I'll join later, my Lord Baron." He understood the seriousness of the situation and the limited time they had. Baron Wallace nodded, acknowledging Rederic's decision. "Then do what you think is best," he warned urgently. "But remember, your time is limited after the end of the day…"

Rederic simply nodded in response, showing his understanding of the high stakes involved.

However, before the conversation could continue, a sudden movement caught the attention of Wallace, Rederic, and the three soldiers.

They all turned their heads simultaneously, their gazes fixed in a particular direction.

At that moment, a bustling scene unfolded before them. Maids hurried across the whole place, their graceful movements accompanied by the clinking of trays and the shifting of chairs.

Strong men, muscles rippling beneath their strained efforts, carried the heavy furniture with precision.

Under the watchful eyes of Wallace, Rederic, and the three soldiers, the maids and strong men worked in perfect harmony, placing the chairs and tables around with great care and order.

The place in front of the Dungeon gradually transformed into a space of grandeur and elegance, as if by some unseen magic.

Every movement was intentional, every placement measured, as if the very essence of the room depended on it.

The scene unfolded like a symphony, with the maids and strong men showcasing their skill and dedication.

Every action, every gesture, spoke volumes about their commitment to perfection. And amidst this symphony of activity, Wallace, Rederic, and the three soldiers stood, their eyes fixed on the unfolding spectacle, captivated by the meticulousness and grace of the workers before them.

After that, with great care, every plate and dish was arranged, the result of meticulous effort by the maids and strong workers.

Now, when they are done, like a well-rehearsed dance, they move to the edges, waiting for their next order.

Wallace, a man who radiated authority, knew exactly how to orchestrate the scene. His gaze landed on Mana Knights Rederic , a face he didn't recognize.

"You!" he called out, his tone abrupt, without bothering to ask for Rederic's name.

"And you three," he added, pointing to the trio of soldiers beside him.

Wallace stretched out his arm, gesturing towards the carefully prepared table.

"Eat," he commanded, a brief pause hanging in the air before he added, almost as an afterthought, "please..."

There was no room for refusal, no time for hesitation. As if It would be disrespectful to the honor and effort of those who had prepared the meal.

"It would be rude not to enjoy the feast they worked so hard on," Wallace continued, his voice steady.

"However, if any of you feel uncomfortable with my request, you can decline at any time."

The words were sharp, leaving the soldiers speechless, torn between their duty and their own unease.

Yet, turning down such a polite invitation from their newly appointed Baron seemed unthinkable.

One by one, they took their seats, silently accepting the unspoken duty.

Sensing their compliance, Wallace turned to the maids and strong workers standing nearby, their surprise evident.

"I, thank you, all of you for your beautiful service," he expressed, his words filling them with unexpected gratitude.

"I am the new Baron, your new master. Can you tell me where Butler Mendez is?"
