Gu Ya left in the morning and hadn't returned by the time Mrs. Chu left, so Su Yunjin made do with two buns at noon. As Gu Ya hadn't come back, Su Yunjin kept the buns warm in the pot so that they wouldn't be cold when Gu Ya returned, and he could eat them straight away. However, the only downside was that the buns would become damp if steamed for too long, and once they became damp, the taste would suffer, and the texture wouldn't be as good.
It was hot, and to prevent the pig skull from spoiling, Su Yunjin soaked the pork bones in water as soon as she returned home. She planned to take them out and make soup in the evening while Mrs. Chu was busy earning money with her business ventures.
Su Yunjin thought she should seriously consider ways to earn money too, now that she and Gu Ya had moved into a new house, away from the troublesome members of the Gu Family.
She should focus all her attention on making money.
