Kapitel 405: Cry

In the room, Long Xuanji let out a sigh of relief and sat on the floor as though unloading a tremendous burden. Wiping away tears, he said,

"That was close, so very close to a huge mistake. These past couple of days I kept checking my health, fearing something untoward had occurred that I couldn't explain. Thank goodness…sob sob sob…I felt like my Taoist heart was going to shatter. You have no idea… I almost reverted back to being a koi…sob sob sob…"

I never expected Long Xuanji to cry so heartbrokenly. I cocked my head to glance at Ninth Master Chang and felt bewildered when I saw tears streaming down his face as well. What were they crying for?

Shouldn't this be a happy occasion?

I could somewhat understand why Long Xuanji was crying; he harbored feelings for our eldest brother. If something had indeed happened between him and Ninth Elder, that would certainly close the door on any chances with my brother.
