The Liu Brothers looked at my baffled expression and chuckled. Liu's second child, the most anxious one, grabbed the tiger's paw and said:
"Sister-in-law, do you want this? It can be used in medicine. Otherwise, we'll dismantle what can be used for you in a bit, we'll..."
I stepped forward and gave each one of them a hefty slap on the back of their heads, saying helplessly:
"Are you two idiots? These are protected animals; can you just kill them willy-nilly? Dismantle them? I'll dismantle you two. Hurry up and find something to tie them up with, and don't beat them anymore. Look at the state you've beaten them into; what a mess!"
The Liu Brothers, after being scolded by me, didn't get angry or feel wronged. They simply chuckled and agreed, then took out a bunch of ropes from the trunk and started to tie knots.
Seeing each and every shameful knot, I rubbed my head helplessly.
I suspected they were driving, but I had no proof.
