Kapitel 36: Chapter 36: The Good Guy Card

"Kyle, are you sure about this?"

As soon as Cho left, Cedric, who had been completely silent, finally walked over and whispered, "I mean, will the Ravenclaw freshmen buy a map?"

"Who knows?" Kyle shrugged, "Let's try it out. I've got nothing better to do anyway."

Although he said that, Kyle didn't think there would be any problems.

Hogwarts didn't have any signs. The location of every classroom had to be found by the new students themselves, or by asking upperclassmen. So, getting lost became something they experienced every day.

At this time, a map could save them a lot of time.

Besides, it was only ten Sickles, not even a Galleon. It was cheap.

A Muggle-born wizard, after buying textbooks and other essentials every year, would have about six Galleons left in pocket money. Taking out ten Sickles to exchange for a map that marked most of the staircase changes, I'm sure many wouldn't refuse.

Of course, there were always exceptions. Like a certain red-haired freshman who would refuse to disclose his name next year.

...

"By the way, this is for you."

On their way back to the dorm, Kyle threw the map in his hand to Cedric. "You're in charge of supplying from now on."

Cedric was puzzled, "What about me?"

"Don't be stupid, you gave it to me. Of course, you'll get a share. Cho gets half, the other half is for the two of us."

Kyle said matter-of-factly, "Besides, I'm just starting school. I'm not very skilled with the Copying Charm. I can't sell people a defective product, they would be angry.

So, you're the most suitable for this task. After all, you don't want people to say that we Hufflepuffs are all businessmen, do you?"

"Well… okay." Cedric thought for a moment. He realized that he was right. He didn't say anything more.

"Okay, that's settled. I'll have Cho go directly to you. We'll see you in the Great Hall this afternoon." Kyle gave Cedric a meaningful look, then turned and walked into his dorm.

Cedric remained standing, looking at Kyle's departing back. The more he thought about it, the more he felt something was wrong.

Cho was responsible for advertising, he was responsible for providing maps… what about Kyle?

Besides these two things, it seemed like there wasn't anything else he had to do.

And that line Kyle said, "I've got nothing better to do anyway," did he mean him?

Cedric fell into deep thought…

On the other side, Kyle returned to the dorm and enjoyed a nice nap. He arrived at the entrance of the Transfiguration classroom on time before afternoon class.

And to protect his and Hufflepuff's face, to make sure the scene he saw with Cho didn't happen again, he intentionally brought Ryan with him.

Even though he repeatedly said that he wouldn't get lost again after he got the map.

This Transfiguration class was again with Ravenclaw. Because they arrived early, only a few students were scattered in the classroom.

Kyle didn't even need to look. He knew with his gut that they were not Hufflepuffs.

Besides, on the front table, a beautiful tabby cat was squatting.

Kyle subconsciously reached into his robe pocket and touched the package of fish he had prepared.

Feeding Mrs. Norris fish was an achievement he had always wanted to unlock. He even prepared the fish beforehand.

It was like moving the trash bin in Diagon Alley. Although there wasn't a reward, the feeling was great, and there was a strange sense of accomplishment.

But the trash bin could be moved whenever he wanted. The chance to feed Mrs. Norris was only once.

Because Professor McGonagall would only show her Animagus form in the freshmen's first Transfiguration class. And only then could Kyle, taking advantage of his new student status, smoothly get away with it later.

After all, he was just a clueless new student. How could he know that Professor McGonagall could transform into a cat?

As for carrying fish… that was for Mrs. Norris, to thank her for helping him find the hospital wing yesterday.

...

Everything was so perfect, just waiting for the final push.

There were still too few people in the classroom. If he went over now, it would be too obvious, and Professor McGonagall would easily see through him. He had to wait a little longer.

To seize this unique opportunity, Kyle was very patient. He told Ryan to go into the classroom first, and he found an excuse to stay at the door.

Coincidentally, Cho just happened to appear around the corner of the corridor. She waved to him, "Kyle, I knew you would be here."

Ryan didn't think much of it. He said he would save a seat for him, then went into the classroom.

"Kyle, you won't believe this. It went even better than I expected." Cho ran to Kyle, out of breath, happily saying, "I showed them the map I copied. In just an hour, twelve freshmen clearly said they wanted to buy it."

Kyle wasn't surprised. He calmly replied, "Good job. You worked hard."

"What's hard about that?" Cho looked at Kyle up and down and continued, "Did you bring the map? I promised them I'd bring it back after class."

"Cedric took the map. The second-year boy who was with me at lunch."

Kyle said helplessly, "He was worried that we couldn't guarantee the quality of the map. He volunteered to take over the task of copying it. Just go to the Great Hall and find him after class.

By the way, he was the top student in his second year. He's very good with the Copying Charm."

"Cedric?" Cho thought for a moment and asked, "I remember you said he gave you the map."

Kyle nodded, "Right."

"What a good guy he is," Cho exclaimed. Then, as if she had thought of something, she suddenly frowned, "If that's the case, I can't take half. It should be a third each for the three of us."

"If you insist, you can talk to him after class." Kyle shrugged, "I'm fine with it. And I said before that I would split the remaining half with him, but Cedric refused. He said he was only helping.

I can't convince him. Maybe you can try."

"Okay!" Cho nodded seriously.

In her opinion, if you participated, you were part of the team, and you had to split it evenly.

Kyle laughed, "Then I wish you the best of luck."

Cho looked at Kyle's expression and frowned, "Why do I feel like you're laughing... strangely?"

"Is it? Maybe I'm just looking forward to the Transfiguration class." Kyle said seriously, "Let's not talk about this. Let's go into the classroom. It would be a real shame if we were late."
