Diana, who had remained silent through much of the conversation, finally spoke up. Her voice was calm but heavy with sorrow.
Though it was heartbreaking to know that her husband whom she had thought was dead had been with another woman and had even chosen to remain with her even after they reunite, there was nothing she could do.
After all, it wasn't his fault. Perhaps if he hadn't lost his memory, he would've returned to her. And if he had listened to her, they wouldn't have had to be separated in the first place. It was all fate. He was never hers to begin with. Diana told herself as she sniffled back her tears.
"I'm sorry, Ana," Richard said again, seeing how hard Diana was trying to hold her tears.
