Standing boldly before the police sprawled on the pebble-mingled ground was a stoic, golden-haired man. His hands rested casually in his pockets, his half-opened eyes boring into the other man.

Kim Seijin glanced at the towering church built with orange bricks. "I followed you when you took the case files, claiming you were transferring them to another team. Why are you at a church instead of a police station?"

The man's gaze dropped. He fell to his knees, pressing his palms to the ground. "I was just following orders, sir. Please..."

"From whom?" Seijin's voice was steady, unyielding.

The man's eyes darted nervously, his corneas reddening. 'He's the last person I expected to confront me!' he thought, teeth gritting in frustration. 'If only I had recognized him sooner...'
