Kapitel 33: Tremor Of The Titans!

The air around the rear part of the kingdom crackled with tension as Zalthor and Lucien continued their battle against the enemy, a fierce female warrior who had ambushed them moments earlier. Her relentless strikes forced the two warriors on the defensive, her speed and precision overwhelming. Zalthor's shadow clones struggled to keep pace, and Lucien's earth-shield defenses were beginning to crumble under the pressure of her attacks.

"You holding up?" Zalthor grunted, wiping a streak of sweat from his brow as he blocked another swift blow with his blade, shadows flickering around him in an attempt to throw her off.

"Just barely," Lucien replied, panting heavily. His eyes darted to the distant horizon, where thick smoke rose from the front of the kingdom. "The commanders must be fighting up there. We have to end this quick if we're going to help."

Zalthor nodded, dodging another strike. "Yeah, but easier said than done."

The female enemy's speed increased, her movements blurring as she danced between Zalthor's shadow clones, dispelling them one by one. Her blades gleamed in the dimming light as she moved in closer, her eyes locked on Lucien with a deadly focus.

"You're slow," she hissed, her voice cutting through the chaos like a blade. "Too slow to stop me."

Lucien's grip tightened on his weapon, his eyes narrowing. He felt the weight of their situation pressing down on him. Zalthor was running out of energy, his shadows flickering weakly. The enemy seemed almost unstoppable, her strikes becoming sharper, her resolve stronger. They were losing ground, and fast.

"I'm not losing here," Lucien growled under his breath.

As the female warrior lunged toward him, her blade aimed at his chest, Lucien felt something deep within him stir—a burning sensation, like the earth itself was calling out to him. His connection to the Earth Aether had always been strong, but this felt different, more primal, more urgent. He couldn't afford to hold back any longer.

Flashbacks of training sessions with Commander Thorian rushed through his mind, memories of when he learned to dig deep into his Aether to access techniques that most warriors could never hope to master. He had always been told to save this particular move for dire situations, and now, it seemed like the perfect moment had arrived.

Just as the enemy's blade was about to pierce him, Lucien slammed his hand into the ground, shouting, "Tremor of the Titans!"

The earth beneath them shook violently, cracks spiderwebbing through the ground as enormous stone pillars shot up from the earth, separating Lucien and Zalthor from their enemy. The force of the tremor threw the female warrior off balance, her eyes widening in shock as she barely managed to leap out of the way of the pillars crashing around her.

But Lucien wasn't done. His hands glowed with the deep brown hue of Earth Aether as he summoned more power, his energy surging into the ground. "Stone Avalanche!"

Massive chunks of rock and debris began to rain down from the pillars, crashing toward their opponent with crushing force. The battlefield had transformed into a chaotic maze of stone and rubble, and for the first time, the enemy's confidence wavered as she found herself dodging and weaving between the falling boulders.

"Now's our chance!" Zalthor shouted, summoning what remained of his strength to reinforce Lucien's attack with his own shadow clones. The battlefield was now a dizzying combination of towering stone pillars and flickering shadows, all converging on the enemy.

Lucien gritted his teeth, focusing all his will into maintaining the tremors and stone avalanche. He had never pushed his Earth Aether to this extent before, and he could feel the strain it was putting on his body. Sweat dripped down his face as he continued to channel the power of the earth, refusing to let up.

The enemy's movements became more frantic as she dodged the falling debris, slashing through Zalthor's clones and attempting to regain her composure. But Lucien's surprise attack had shaken her, literally and figuratively. She was no longer in control of the battle.

For a brief moment, Lucien allowed himself a small grin. "Not so fast, huh?"

But then, just as the tide of battle seemed to be turning in their favor, the female warrior's eyes narrowed, and her lips curled into a vicious smile. With a powerful leap, she ascended above the stone pillars and shadows, her figure silhouetted against the setting sun.

"You think this is enough to stop me?" she sneered, her voice filled with malice. Her body began to glow with an eerie light as she raised her arms to the sky. "You've only seen a fraction of my power."

With a deafening roar, she unleashed a wave of dark energy that sliced through the air like a blade. It collided with the stone pillars, shattering them to pieces and sending a shockwave that knocked both Zalthor and Lucien to the ground.

Lucien coughed, struggling to regain his footing as dust and debris filled the air. He had given it everything he had, but even with his Earth Aether, their opponent was proving to be more formidable than they had anticipated.

Zalthor, bloodied and bruised, pushed himself up beside Lucien, shadows still flickering weakly around him. "She's stronger than we thought," he muttered, wiping the blood from his mouth. "We need a new plan."

Lucien's heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing. His Earth Aether had been their ace in the hole, but it hadn't been enough to take her down. As the female warrior descended back to the ground, her dark energy still swirling around her, Lucien and Zalthor exchanged a grim look.

"We're not done yet," Lucien said, determination burning in his eyes.

"Not even close," Zalthor agreed, summoning what little strength he had left.

But before they could make their next move, the female warrior stepped forward, her dark energy crackling ominously in the air. "Let's see how long you can last now," she said with a wicked grin, her eyes glowing with malice.

The battlefield was set for another clash, and the tension hung thick in the air as Zalthor and Lucien prepared themselves for the next round of this brutal fight. But deep down, they both knew they were running out of options—and time.
