Kapitel 12: The Darkness That Is Called The End

With gasping breaths, the young man tried to listen to every little sound around him, looking for clues about the monster's whereabouts. He focused his attention, trying to control the fear that filled him. Every second felt precious, because he knew that he had to act carefully to stay alive in this dangerous dungeon.

The young man felt a surge of panic when he realized that the Razorback Troll had not disappeared, but had merged into the darkness of the dungeon passage around him. In an instant, one of its arms floated in front of his eyes, separated from its body by the monster's sudden attack.

"Eh?"

He was shocked to see his arm just fall off, eyes widened by the horrific sight in front of him. A sharp, piercing pain soon followed, and blood began to ooze profusely from the severed arm.

"Aaarghh!!"

His screams of pain filled the dark halls of the dungeon, mirroring the despair that was overwhelming him. The young man struggled to endure the crippling pain, while his panic and confusion continued to haunt his mind.

However, in the midst of the panic and pain, the young man tried to calm himself. He forced himself to stay focused, looking for the best way to survive. With a gasping breath, he tried to stand up again.

On the other hand, the monster smiled, as if enjoying the suffering of its prey. The sharp look in his eyes conveyed terrible cruelty and pleasure, indicating that the attack on the young man was only the beginning of his sadistic game.

The young man, with his body shaken by pain and fear, looked at the monster with fear and anger welling up inside him. A scream of anger and despair caught in his throat, faced with the reality that he might be the next prey in this dungeon filled with danger.

"I have to survive... I can't give up..." the young man thought loudly in this critical situation.

The piercing pain and the desperate feeling of wanting to stretch his body, but his determination still burned. "I have to escape, find a way out... I can't die here," he hissed in his heart, even though his left arm had been severed and blood was flowing out. He wouldn't let the pain and despair overcome him.

He had to run with all the strength he had left in him, looking for a chance to save himself from the Razorback Troll's death grip. With his remaining courage, the young man ran as hard as he could while grabbing a bottle of low-level healing potion from his waist bag. In a state of panic and desperation, he poured the potion onto his severed left arm, hoping to stop the bleeding and lessen the piercing pain.

The young man trembled as the potion liquid touched his severed arm. The cool, refreshing taste of the potion was immediately followed by a spreading warm sensation, but the pain had not disappeared.

"Shit... this hurts so bad..." he hissed, a groan of pain emerging from his mouth as the potion touched the open wound on his severed arm. When the healing fluid seeped into the flesh, a sharp, burning sensation filled every fiber of his body. However, he persisted, forcing himself to endure the pain while continuing his attempts to escape.

From down the hall, the young man heard the sound of rushing water. The sound sounded like a powerfully flowing river, cutting into the silence of the dark dungeon. His ears sounded startled and attracted to the sound, for in the darkness enveloping danger, such a natural sound might be a clue that something was nearby.

"Hahaha… What the hell," he muttered, his voice muffled in the darkness of the dungeon. The young man felt a little frustrated because he was looking for a way out of this dark floor only to meet a dead end.

The young man felt a combination of confusion and astonishment when he finally found the source of the voice that echoed in the dark hallway. However, his confusion only grew when he realized that what was causing the sound was simply a large waterfall, which seemed to signal a dead end.

"So, I will eventually die in this place," he muttered in a low voice, his facial expression reflecting disbelief and fear.

The young man took a deep breath amidst the darkness, feeling hopeless because he found the waterfall to be a dead end. His mind felt spinning, trapped in a gloomy state on the dark and scary dungeon floor.

There was the sound of heavy footsteps and the rumble of metal scraping from behind him. The young man turned his head away quickly, carefully observing the darkness around him. The young man's eyes opened wide when he saw the figure of the Razorback Troll walking towards him with a large sword that still had fresh blood on the tip of the blade.

Fear began to fill the young man, but he tried to remain calm. His heartbeat was racing, and his breathing was labored. He held the sword tightly in his right hand, ready to fight for his survival.

The young man realized that he could not escape anywhere. When he looked back, he saw a vast lake stretching out before him. He felt unsure whether he would survive if he jumped into it. The young man knew that his only option was to face the approaching Razorback Troll, facing the monster with everything he had. His face was full of tension, but he mustered up the courage to face the threat before him.

The monster just smiled at the young man, who looked cornered and desperate before him. The Razorback Troll's smile conveys joy at seeing that its prey has nowhere to escape.

The young man felt a pulse pounding in his neck as he faced the huge monster in front of him. His face was pale and his eyes filled with fear, but he knew he had no choice but to fight.

"HAAA!!!" He shouted as he lunged forward towards the monster.

His face was filled with a mixture of fear and determination to survive. His steps were full of courage, even though he knew that he was just a low-level adventurer in the presence of a rare monster.

The Young man sword flashed through the air, piercing towards the Razorback Troll with surprising friction. However, the monster was too agile. In an instant, the Razorback Troll dodged nimbly, and the young man sword attack only hit empty wind. Immediately, the monster's counterattack launched towards the young man.

then the monster launched a counterattack with its large sword.

The Razorback Troll's sword slashed towards the young man with surprising speed. The young man almost didn't have time to react. The sword attack caused him to fall backwards, ripping his sleeve and leaving a wound on his shoulder.

"Arghh!!"

The young man writhed in pain on the ground, panting from exhaustion. Blood flowed from his wounds. His face was pale, but his eyes were filled with the determination to survive. Even though his condition looked gloomy, he still tried to get up again to fight.

The monster approached with heavy steps, its evil smile still etched on its face. The young man, despite his injuries, tried to crawl backwards. But, it was in vain because he was already at the end of the road. Only a wide lake was behind him at the moment.

The youth felt despair fill him as he crawled backwards and realized that behind him was only a vast lake. He was already at the end of the road, with nowhere to escape. His heartbeat was racing, he was breathing heavily, but his determination to survive remained alive within him.

The monster slowly drew closer, its evil smile increasingly menacing. The young man knew he had to move, he had to act quickly before it was too late. The young man felt hopeless as he realized that there was nothing he could do under these circumstances. He put down his sword in despair, feeling that all hope was lost. The monster's eyes looked at him curiously, perhaps sensing the young man's defeat and despair.

The monster's heavy steps stopped approaching. The evil smile on his face faded a little, revealing a strange curiosity. The young man himself was silent, waiting for what would happen next.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the dungeon became silent. Only the sound of roaring water and heavy footsteps of monsters could be heard. The young man felt like all his energy had been used up, but there was a small part inside him that still resisted the urge to give up.

"Is that so… So, this is the end…" muttered the young man in a voice that was barely audible amidst the eerie calm of the dungeon. He saw the monster approaching him again, its heavy steps shaking the ground around them. The monster's greatsword swung through the air, shining faintly in the dim light of the dungeon.

Before he died, he was hit by the big sword. The young man, without hesitation, took the dagger lying beside him and threw it towards the monster's eyes. The dagger flew quickly, crashing through the darkness towards its target.

The monster was shocked by the sudden movement. The monster's eyes flashed with surprise before a dagger penetrated one of its eyes.

"RAWRGHH!!" Terrifying screams filled the dungeon floor.

"Ha ha ha…. "Feel that, you bastard..." muttered the young man breathlessly.

The young man felt his consciousness fading along with the heavy blood loss. His body felt weak, and the sounds around him began to distort. The monster still stood before him, letting out an angry roar that echoed in the dark dungeon.

The young man fell into the lake with blurry vision, his body limp and seriously injured. He saw the monster groaning in pain after the dagger it threw pierced one of its eyes. The monster's voice could still be heard clearly echoing on the floor of this dungeon.

Instantly, the young man felt himself being thrown into a dark lake. The water slowly covered up his body, giving him an intoxicating cool sensation. The waves shook him, but in such an injured state, he felt like his body was like a weight being thrown to the bottom. His body felt weak, covered in wounds and fatigue from the fierce battle.

The young man's eyes were still open, but his vision was starting to blur. Water covered his face, making it difficult to breathe. In such a devastated state, he pondered whether this was the end of his journey.

"Is that so… So, this is the end…" he muttered to himself, the sound muffled by the water surrounding his ears. His mind reeled, remembering his short journey as a weak adventurer. He thought about how far he had come, daring to fight in a world full of danger, despite not having the strength to match the other adventurers.

The water continued to submerge him, and the young man felt himself increasingly distant from the outside world. But amidst the darkness of the lake that embraced him, there was a strange calm.

Perhaps this was an honorable ending, a journey short but filled with courage and fortitude. The young man continued to reflect on his life, accepting that death might already be waiting for him at the bottom of this lake. However, in the midst of the darkness that was increasingly covering up, he found peace in gratitude for his struggle, even though he ultimately faced inevitable death.
