Kapitel 2: chapter 2: Time skip
13 years later turns out this is an earth, this version of Earth is 300 years in the future or perhaps it's been 300 years from my death. I know this is a different Earth from my previous life as I felt my soul being pulled through into another dimension whether this is a future time zone or not that is another question entirely.
This earth was once identical to the Earth of my previous life however, it seems that this earth 300 years ago underwent an Awakening, at the time of the Awakening many people's race and even gender were transformed suddenly. The appearance of dungeons monsters and all kinds of fantasy shit now all of that exists in this world.
Australia is now one of the superpowers, naturally I was reincarnated into Australia.
To my disappointment I wasn't an elf but just a regular old human my mother is an A ranked high elf my father is an F ranked human, the teacher has come in to the classroom, "now class we shall be reviewing Earth's history today" said the teacher, seriously everyone says.
The teacher spoke now class who can tell me how often the school conducts Awakening ceremonies the teacher then calls the only student that bothered to put his hand up, yes John all schools have their own Awakening artifact and conduct an Awakening ceremony on the first day of the year and the last day of the year alternatively one can pay a hospital that has their own Awakening artifact to Awaken whenever they wish.
"That is correct now shall we continue or shall I keep you here all day, so you can listen to me go on and on until you've heard the entirety of Earth's history. No one else wants to say anything very well I shall continue. The Awakening of Earth resulted in a massive Mana storm the Mana storm purify the air of the centuries of pollution and vaporized all plastic, now people at that time suddenly transformed into various races even some undergoing changes in gender.
The appearance of dungeons these dungeons entrances being mysterious doors that appear randomly out of nowhere, they can look anywhere from an ordinary door to a grand and luxurious gate towering over the heavens. Naturally the people of this time underwent an Awakening during the mana storm those that failed to Awaken perished. The exploration of dungeons lead to the country acquiring Awakening artifacts, it let future generations undergo an Awakening. Awakening artifacts look like a large crystal ball the size of a head they, have crimson red runes that give off the illusion that they are bleeding.
As we know that all children are born human and that once every decade mana storm makes people enter a 48 hour hibernation, which is due to their bodies being overloaded with Mana they enter this dormant state as a safety mechanism, to safely process all of that Mana this also applies to monsters and the other forms of life such as plant-based lifeforms.
The mana storm also vaporizes all plastic and purifies the air, it's believed that the Earth created the Mana storms as a defense mechanism in response to humans causing centuries of pollution, the old civilization often referred to as pre Awakened era collapsed.
We have rebuilt civilization, the pre Awakened era country known as Russia is a good example of why our countries do not go to war and at most have Minor skirmishs on the border. Australia being an island country as not had a war in the last three hundred years, this is also the case for Japan and other island nations naturally.
Russia believed it would take over the world not long after the Awakening, it was one of the countries that managed to maintain order and prevent its civilization from collapsing after all. However Russia in pursuit of power it started wars with the neighboring countries, unfortunately this meant the Manpower needed to clear dungeons frequently, was not available resulting in dungeon brakes, they ended up fighting monsters on one side and enemy nation on other sides, Russia has become a monster wasteland.
Due to this there hasn't been any wars between nations and has been kept to minor skirmishes, now where was I yes when you undergo an Awakening changes in race and gender can occur and are quite normal.
One's rank is very important, I almost forgot since it's common knowledge but the Australian government decided that it would shelter anyone 13 or under that had yet to undergo an Awakening for free, while it will cost a million dollarydoos for f rank adults. The United States being the country with the highest percentage of f rankers due to its policy of sheltering literally everyone free of charge have the most specially designed shelters which are made for mana storms. Mana storms being lethal to unawakened or f ranks.
while Japan, Florida and Texas treat f ranks as slaves meaning their owners have to pay for the shelter, They do let the unawakened children in free of charge. Countries such as China and United Kingdoms allow all of there citizens in free of charge, how ever they charge every one else shit loads of money.
So you should understand how important Awakening is and the higher ones rank the better, it is quite literally the end of the world for anyone that is a failed awaken known as f rank. The only reason these people are kept around is because they are convenient for reproduction with races like elves that have low fertility and to use them for doing jobs that no one else wants to do" The bell rang "class dismissed".
