Carl spent the morning as usual, eating and chatting with Lilly.

"Yes," Catherine replied, struggling to suppress her anxious feelings as she walked with Carl.

She was anxious because she couldn't predict how this meeting would proceed.

"Can you please open the door?" Carl asked.
